What car do you drive/own?
Personally I dont drive to my disabilty, but my girlfriend does, and with some advice from me on how to take corners etc she's become a very erm, fast driver lol, just as well the car has 225mm tyres huh. So I was just wondering what car everyone drives, personally we have a 1989 MK3 24v 3.0ltr turbo Toyota Supra - only 102,000 miles on the clock, and on a 3.0ltr thats nothing. Yes I know its a old car, but it still goes like **** off a shovel, and we are on a budget, fastest car on the market for £2,000 for a great condition version like ours - although u can pick them up for about £1,300 in good condition, but with say 140,000 miles on the clock.

2003 Subaru Impreza Sportwagon.
Might be swapping it for a Subaru Legacy 3.0R Spec B in a couple of months or so. Kinda depends on whether I've still got a job... I've had four new Subarus over the years. Except for servicing, I've never had to take one back to the dealer, not even for the lightest niggle. Between them, they have provided me with absolutely blemish-free service for a total of around 100,000 miles. There are very few marques from whom you can expect that kind of reliability and quality. And all of them are Japanese. |

I've got an Opel (Vauxhall for you Brits) Corsa 1.2 Swing.
It gets to 110 kph without trembling too much, it has 65 hp and it's 12 years old. And it's my first car, I paid for it 800 euros, just three months ago. As a matter of fact, I got my license in July and it costed me 1650 euros. So the car was a good deal (from my sister!) And it has a Jacques Villeneuve sticker. |

I have an 85 BMW 323i with a rather serious DING on the drivers side (ok, by DING I mean the b-pillar is bent and both doors are caved in). So as soon as I find permanent employment, she will be replaced.

i have a 2001 renaultsport clio 2.0litre. it's dark green with artistic streaks of donington mud up the side. it needs a wash and a new passenger windscreen wiper. it's called squirt. or joe, because of the numberplate.
i've had bmw's and a vw before that, and i don't know what i'm after next. |

I own a Ford Falcon XR8 ute 2001 model. I bought it to transport my beloved kart and dirt bike around and i have alot of fun it especially in the back.
It's very thirsty on fuel so when i put my foot down you can watch the fuel gauge slowly creep down and it's a very good sideways car if you Know what i mean. |

Three of mine are listed in the "Cars no-one has heard of" thread....
"A Vincent Hurricane- most common reaction is "I didn't know Vincent made cars" No relation to the bikes!! A Quantum H4i, my wifes commuting car A Dutton Melos- not quite so obscure, more people have heard of Dutton than the other two cars but few recognise the Melos outside kit-car circles." www.vincenthurricane.co.uk www.quantumowners.com www.duttonownersclub.co.uk Add to that a Mk2 Granada 2.3l with one working electric window (I got fed up with fixing the motor on the drivers door window so I changed it for a good old winder turney handle jobby- remember those? nothing to go wrong!!) It's white with a subtle hint of rust (getting less subtle by the day) and has an Alfa156 shaped dent in the rear panel . The number plate is now mounted on 1" posts in a vain effort to hide the dent and I have 2" less boot space than most Granada's. It's still a good comfortable motorway cruiser and it's like a favorite old armchair. We've had it for over 8 years now , my Father In Law bought it new in 1984. We'll probably need to replace it soon but we don't really want to!! |

Sounds like a good car there Bluebottle - do you get it through an MOT with a dent in the back?
I drive a 1998 Ford Escort 1.6 Zetec - not the fastest - but reasonable for insurance since I'm 19, it was a bargain price and it's got a cool name for the colour - Panther Black! |

Like Bella, I am Renault Clio owner, but I couldn't afford a 172 like her, so I have 1.2 Dynamique. Had it for 6 months and I have but 8000 miles on the clock. It's a fantastic it goes like and the handling is spot on too.

Excellent choice there jason. By the way, you didn't out-grunt me from a roundabout on the A43 on the way to Silverstone for the ELMS did you?? Cos some git in a Fabia vRS did!
Been out car shopping with the parents this weekend. They have an Astra, but don't really need so much room now so are considering downsizing... very impressed with the Seat Ibiza. Ace little car. Also looked at the Fabia, which is very good, solid, cheap to run etc. but not as stylish as the Ibiza (which has the same engine, 1.2 12V). And you can get an Ibiza SX for S money at the moment... anyone got any experience/comments?? I'm also wondering about my own next choice. The Subaru Legacy could be a bit steep (to buy and run), and there's a new model Octavia vRS out in around a year. And guess what - it's gonna be a turbo diesel, 180bhp(ish), great big huge dollops of torque at about 3 revs an hour, and 50mpg! Chances are the same engine may find it's way into next year's new Seat Toledo and Leon too... |

As mentioned in another topic I own a 1992 Nissan Pulsar GTi-R
Here's some pics... For those who don't know it's a 2.0 16v turbo 4wd. I have just fitted an updated Helix clutch and had 5th gear replaced. It also has an Apexi AVCR controller which allows me to adjust the boost and all sorts of other bits & pieces. It's not the nicest looking car on the road I admit, but it's the first really first car I've owned (previous was a 205 1.9GTi - rated it very highly) and this thing really is fast. Running just under 300bhp and will do 0-60 in under 5secs I'm only 21 though, and EVERYTHING on it is mega expensive so I drive especially careful in her, and don't rag it like many people would expect. Still it is good fun whipping those smug BMW driver's off the lights |

Proper machine that is - looks like you look after it too. Nice one. |
