I have not seen any mistakes from Alonso so far. When he was in Minardi he was also very impressive considering his lack of experience. I think KR is fast but prone to errors. I have to go with Alonso

As soon as Alonso put the Minardi ahead of two Benettons and a Jaguar at I think Spain 2001, you knew he'd be a superstar.

Right now, Raikkonen. In the years to come, Alonso, unless the Renault turns into a complete dog in the future.

Narrowly Alonso, because I can seriously envisage a situation, in 10 years time, where he is considered a true great of the sport, up with Senna, Clark, Fangio and Yoong.

There's no way he can match the brilliance of Yoong. He's got mere mortals like Fangio and Senna in his sights though.
Fernando is the only one of the enw chargers who doesn't make the odd mistake,a dn he has much less experience than Montoya, little more than Kimi, and, on his day, as much as either of the, |

i would say that kimi is probably the faster of the two drivers but alonso is the more consistent and less prone to errors so i too would go with alonso, but in the future a more experienced kimi will be a legend alongside fernando

would make some great races, Raikkonen and Alonso in the same car fighting for the title, maybe in the futre.
i'd go with Alonso, just, but i'd really like to see who'd win without traction control, see who's the REAL driver . |

Regarding Alonso vs Kimi, it's very hard to choose between them. They're both brilliant, and I'm going to sit on the (in)famous fence for a while. And regarding Alonso not making any mistakes, what about Brazil this year? |

You mention Brasil there R but that doesn't stop some people calling Webber a demi god despite being the only guy to spin off twice there!

I like Fernando, but it's not as if he hasn't made any mistakes!
Webber spun twice in Brazil? |

Yeah, at the infamous Curva do Sol, where he did a 360 and continued and the other one where he didn't quite continue!!
And yeah you're right, just thought I'd point that out! BTW I think fernando's fantastic! Shame he's not Brasilian though! |

This poll is a little unfair to Raikkonen. Everybody is just remembering the last GP. When was the last time you saw Alonso run Michael Schumacher off the road in a passing attempt? There's only two drivers that have done it this year - Kimi (Melbourne) and Montoya (Nurburgring).
Based on that, I vote Kimi. |

It's all gonna be sooo interesting in a couple of years when Massa is in a Ferrari and Nelson Piquet Jnr gets picked by up Williams.
Actually, it's interesting now. Anyway, Alonso, why? Because I think so. |

Alonso's was under yellow flags, hardly the same. Did'nt both Webber and Alonso come off in Quals at Austria? As for errors, I can't think of a mistake free driver this year (awaits an interuption ). Both Kimi and Alonso are special, no doubt. I don't jump on the bandwagon of a driver before he's proved himself (I did it with Zanardi and we all know how that turned out). Montoya won my respect, as has Kimi, Alonso and Webber. While they all had fans before hand, I want to see a driver peddle a F1 car in a race before I sing their praises. While these 4 have shown us some real talent, many in the past have disappointed. Add Schumacher to that list, and I dont see a WDC trophy in the next 5-10 years without one of those names on it. |
