Sepang to loose Grand Prix?

Just read on Autosport.com that Malaysia is now committed to "the World Health Organisation's 'Framework Convention on Tobacco Control' at the UN. Malaysia is now committed to the implementation of stringent controls on tobacco products, including a ban on cigarette advertising".

Oh dear

Maybe if everyone banned tobacco ads, we would have racing on decent tracks. Not meaning Malaysia is indecent.

Mark Webber has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Well IMHO Sepang is one of the best tracks we have in the current calender and it would be as bad as losing Spa .
Not saying Sepang is better than Spa
but it is in my top 3 tracks

Believe me by saying that Autosport.com didn't post the whole story accurately....i have seen what our Health Minister had said on tv few days back, all sponsorship of any kind of sports except for Formula 1 will not have tobbacco companies as one of their sponsors.

Malaysia will enforce the ban for formula1 together with Europe starting 2006.

Oh good, I am glad they've made an exception for the Formula 1. No surprise really, it really is Malaysia's biggest sporting event I'm guessing, so they'd hardly want to lose it.

Considering that the Olympics and the Football World Cup are the only ones that we've never organized, yup it's the biggest sporting event ever.
