Lotus Elan BRM - 1967

OK - who knows something about the 1967 road going Elans with BRM modified engines (intake cams I think, basically still the 1600 cc DOHC derived engine, right?) that came out of Mike Spence garage? BRG or a perhaps a brighter BRM green, orange bumper, mimicing Lotus-BRM colors of that year. Spence Garage told me in a trans-Atlantic phone call in 1983 that they did not know how many were made because records were destroyed in a fire. Anyone have an idea how many? Fellow who sold me mine (awaiting a capital infusion in garage, Lucas disease + 2 decades of idleness, mea culpa!) in upstate NY said it was one of ten. I've read a couple of contemporary road tests and comments at the time, and I gather it is not the same as the race prepped Elan of the time. Input anyone? I know mine is real 'cause of the plate on the engine and the decal under the trunk lid (boot for those in the mother country.)
