Whats going to be your next car?

Well im very happy with my jetta, few little niggly warrenty bits but seem to be plain sailing now. Not too long after i received myne i learned that they now do a 200bhp 2.0 TFSI so i was thinking of going for that.... €31500 with trade discount... bit steap only paid €27500 for my current 1.9 TDI Comfortline.

I like the passat but im not that "Auld" to be wanting one

So whats you eyeing up as your next car ???

Changes every week for me. (What I want, not the car!)

Having had a great trip in the Legacy a couple of weeks ago I'm struggling to think of anything that could do the whole job as well.

So maybe I'll keep it until I can afford a Porsche 997. Maybe. I'll be very tempted by the Legacy turbo if they decide to officially import it to the UK (on the cards apparently). Might even be tempted by the new Impreza, depending on looks.

Personally I think im going to be getting a Smart Forfour 1.6tdi. Im not normally a fan of Smart cars but this looks decent and as well as averaging 64mpg it is also reasonably nippy, 95bhp 0-60 in 10.2 and 112mph so about the same sort of performance as a new VW Golf 1.6fsi but a touch faster, and a heck of a lot better on fuel consumption.

That is the car I will be using for work at least as I do quite a bit of travelling, for fun however I think I will get another Supra, or maybe a R32 skyline.

VW Golf I hope or something that's German! Then current everyday car can just be used for PCTs / autotests etc and doesn't matter if / when it breaks.

I hope to get at least 15 years out of the Previa before i have to think about what's next!
The Hurricane will be with us until there's no more oil in the world and the Quantum will stay with us for a long while also, same with the Dutton.
So....our next car hasn't been designed yet!

I'm falling in love with the Seat Leon Cupra, 237bhp 2.0 TFSi. Be a while before I could afford it yet, but I am already debating between White or Yellow ?

well ive only had my car for 6 months but my plan is to sell my pug when im 19 or 20, sell up pug and hopefully get from £1,000-£1,500 for it, take out a loan of £5,000-£7,000.

then i have a few cars in mind:

alfa romeo GTV 2000, either the 2.0 4 cylinder or 3.0 V6

peugeot 406 coupe V6

BMW 325 E30 or 328 E36, wont be able to afford a E46 unless its a bit of a dog.

renault clio 182, my brother has a 172 and its a great little car, quick, good handling, comfy and cheap to run for its performance.

subaru impreza WRX, cheap to buy and even if it is a dog it will run like clockwork, but insurance and running costs would be big.

tbh i most fancy the V6 alfa or the peugeot 406 V6 coupe, most of my family have a long procession of owning BMW's, my auntie and uncle have had 4, my sister 2, my parents 3 and my brother none but i want something individual.

i quite frankly love BMW's but there are too many of them around, a pug 406 coupe or alfa GTV has got character and soul and i love that in a car, the BMW is the understated businessman, the alfa the playboy, the pug the prettyboy

First car will probably be something like a Fiesta or something similar.

And Touring Legend, go for yellow! No! White! Hmm.. i'm as torn between the 2 as you are!

I'd like a BMW 3-something... but most are expensive or high miles or both!

I'd also like an Alfa 147.

badgerbaiter has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
i'm thinking of changing my car but my brain says 'you cant afford it you idiot'

i'm trying to tell my brain that i really need an estate car for my business.
but there arent many exciting estate cars out there

159 sportwagon would be my choice, but its totally out of the question

so being more realistic, its between these two (156 sportwagon is too small)

if i find a cheap v8 zt-t then i dont care what my bloody brain says, i'm having it!!!

I don't know and it's a few years off, but I'm already thinking about it. A Pontiac G8 (Holden Commadore), a used Cobra replica, or something completely different......Alfa is coming back to the states.

im looking at a mazda MX5 down the road from were i live, its a 1.6 1996, in black with greyish colour leather(like the polar grey BMW leather) with 65,000 miles on the clock.

£3,250, i am very tempted tbh, want to sell my pug and buy it but i couldnt afford the insurance or running costs though, still when i get a job i fancy a MX5 .

I want something Toyota, powered by a 1 or 2JZ engine, not sure what chassis yet, and want one already built, really cbf doing conversions anymore..

GZ20 Soarer I like, but needs to be a conversion to have the good donk

JZA70 Supra has the 1JZ standard, but I'm not a massive fan of the shape, just doesn't do it for me.

MX83 Cressida

Did think about buying this one, but it's a bit of a mongrel, converted from a Diesel import model, so it had a live rear end with drums rather than IRS/discs like the Aus delivered ones..

Still not decided on anything, will see what comes up...

guess so, but when you are at school full time and only have time enough for weekend work its very hard to hold down the costs of running a car.

i guess i could pay for my insurance monthly when im 19 and get an MX5 then when i have a better job.
