Did not have a chance to finish following the race after unforeseen IRL dramas, but looking at the results I'm mighty impressed by the prototypes lasting to the finish and in such dominant fashion.
Next year, hope we get more exotics like the Lola, but even if not it's so fun event compared to much else there is in offer, and it's nice to see the niche tech prototypes doing well as well. Good job! Chiana mark of approval granted |

Who has some proper information about Brazilian Endurance Championship and, especially, P1 and P2 tech. I've read Tarso Marques has built a P2 car and it looks interesting. Which engine does he use? Is the chassis completely new or does it use some bits of already existing Ps?

Here's an article on the Metalmore AJR which also races in that series:
http://www.dailysportscar.com/2017/0...o-jlm-ajr.html I just skimmed the article, but the chassis seems to be a bespoke design rather than a re-use of a European chassis. |

THE TMC 01 prototype of Tarso Marques
Hi, I'm the publisher of Racemotor website from Brasil, where the news about the Tarso Marques TMC 01 prototype were first published. Now we have a first real image of it - it is a formula tub (He insisted not to confirm which until now) with a V6 turbo powerplant. Just to clarify, P1 and P2 classes at Império Endurance Brasil has nothing to do with ACO/IMSA rules, hence the central driving position Can-Am style machine allowed to be part of.
There is the link to the article: https://racemotor.com.br/2020/05/07/...urance-brasil/ |

Hi there!
About the Endurance Brasil series, I can help you guys with some information, but since there is a lot to cover I started a dedicated thread to the series. As was already posted, the championship has 8 classes, evenly split between prototypes and GTs/Touring Cars, however the regulations on the site have been updated during 2019, and are available at the CBA site: https://www.cba.org.br/campeonato/downloads/86/416/2019 The classes are as follows: P1: Brazilian built prototypes + LMP3 cars + Ginetta G57 P2. Engines are limited to 7.000 cm³ NA or 4.200 cm³ turbo/supercharger. P2: Brazilian built prototypes of older build, with the same engine specifications as P1, but different weight and fuel capacity limits. The car Tarso Marques built was intended for P2, however as it is a new design it's going to be competing at P1. P3: Prototyes with engines up to 2.400 cm³ NA engines. P4: Prototypes with engines up to 2.100 cm³ NA engines, with a mandatory low cost Pirelli tyre. For 2020 this class will be merged with P3 due to a lack of interest in the last years GT3: GT3 Homologated cars. Until 2019 the GT3 cars were limited only by weight/fuel cell capacity, however seems 2020 onwards the FIA BoP will be mandatory GT3 Light: older GT3 cars + Brazilian Stock Cars GT4: FIA GT4 cars with FIA intake restrictors + a few locally prepared GTs / Touring Cars. GT4 Light: FIA TCR, GT3 cars built prior to 2008 and GTs/Touring Cars from various one make series from Brazil, lite the Trofeo Linea, Maserati Trofeo, Mercedes CLA AMG Cup, among others |

Starting with the championship, the Endurance Brasil was formed in 2014 on the basis of the regional endurance championship of Brazil's southernmost state, Rio Grande do Sul. Currently, as stated above, 8 car classes compete, evenly split between Prototypes and GTs/Touring Cars. Specifically about the P1 and P2 classes, they are as follows: P1: class for Brazilian built prototypes + LMP3 + Ginetta G57 P2. Engines are limited to 7.000 cm³ if naturally aspirated, or 4.200 cm³ if turbo / supercharger. The only limitations are the following: Weight/Fuel capacity, based on engine displacement ant if it's NA or turbo Number of tyres allocated per racing weekend FIA Annex J safety requirements More exotic engines like those used on LMP1L or LMP2, or other top echelon classes are also forbidden, to avoid cost to skyrocket Other than that, design is completely free, both aerodynamically and chassis wise. Tyres also are of free choice, with teams currently using either Yokohama or Pirelli rubber. LMP3 cars are free from the intake restrictos used on the ACO series. P2 has overall the same limitations in engine displacement, with only slightly different specifications for the pairing weight/fuel capacity. This class is sort of a grandfathering class, for older prototypes that cannot keep up with current machinery. For this reason, the car Tarso Marques built will not be permited in the P2 class, and will compete in P1 |

Franz Konrad to race Ginetta LMP3 in Ultimate Cup at Paul Richard. Three different chassis in the same race. Imagine that!

I hope they do race, be a great waste if they don’t. They have certainly proved solid and competitive, if not the fastest

From what I understand the mighty Marcos LM600 returns to the racing tracks coming season. Currently the car is being rebuilded and will race with owner Cor Euser in the driving seat in Peter Auto historic events.
