Prost to drive Ferrari F2001

I have just read that if and when Alain Prost's record of GP wins is broken by M.Schumacher, Ferrari will invite Prost to drive the current Ferrari F1 car. Would anyone like to place bets on what his pace would be like. The PR day would certainly be held at Mugello, a place where Prost has driven before! I personally beleive that he wont be to far of the pace of Rubens and Schumacher. What does everyone else think?

well i think he will be off the pace..u never lose driving skills but u do loose your physical strength. F1 cars really demand a driver to be in his absolutely best. i dont think prost could keep up with that.
nowdays mika has a tough time completing a race.see how much he sweats. on the contrary, michael looks as fresh as a daisy.

in relation to this :- did u guys know that rubens weighed less than MS ?

Considering that the modern F1 cars are so full of remote control electronics that a teenager who's only had 23 races in any kind of car can drive them successfully, I'd say Prost ought to set a respectable time. Naturally he will not be going for a new world lap record in a PR session though, so don't get your hopes up.

P.S. Even if TGF "breaks Prost's record for wins" it won't count with me. Get him to do it in Prost's F1 car against the kind of competition Prost faced and then we'll talk. (Oh wait, he's frightened of the 1980s cars ... never mind. We don't want any accidents. )

well i saw michael driving those 1970's ferrari classics. he did a pretty good job.

Im fairly sure he drove one of Patrick Tambay's Ferrari's form the Eighties! He has demonstarted his ability to totally dominate and Im sure he would of done the same whatever Era of Formula 1...

Schumacher did indeed drive Patrick Tambay's Ferrari from the 80s, and pronounced himself frightened witless of the thing. These are the cars that the likes of Prost, Senna, Villeneuve, Alboreto, de Angelis etc raced on the limit race after race.

And raced them against one another - not against rookie teenagers in remote controlled cars. (Even that wonderful race that essentially had only 4 cars in it, in which Arnoux and Gilles banged wheels for second place and nobody knows who won, was a far better race than anything TGF has ever "won" in.)

"Totally dominate" my aunt Nellie's corset cover. He's not worthy to tie Prost's shoes, far less fill them.
