I will attempt to make it too but it might depend on what my travelling companions want to do.

Surely they should do what you tell them to do......
(Having said that - mine never did.... ) |

I will have been telling them what to do since the Wednesday so they might be a bit sick of it by then. Might leave them somewhere safe and find them later...

The chances of getting that stuff down to le mans is very small, in the confines of a car it will make driving impossible and could kill you

I took some to a client in Slovenia a few years ago, which meant it survived a flight from Heathrow to Munich and connection on to Ljubljana, a night in the hotel minibar fridge, and then, most ominously, a car ride to Maribor - no actual deaths resulted, even if it was a somewhat ripe experience...

I like nice ripe French cheese (well, some of them, anyway) but I must admit I thought Stinking Bishop was fairly unpleasant......

Looks like a french one called "Epoisses" or another one called "munster". For sure cheeses full of character with a nice "hard" taste but as you say : That's a matter of opinion.

Munster (from Alsace) and Maroilles (around Lille) are on the podium. All the three are very tasty. |

Epoisses: for the mature palate, but not up to: Stinking Bishop: xxx rated, adults only Munster: not worth considering, if you want a strongly-flavoured cheese All four need a robust red wine. In my view, the only use Australian Cabernet-Shiraz has, is to be matched against such cheeses as these. It's far too unsubtle, but too rough and ready for sensible drinking. |
