Euroteks Short Stay in Formula Renault

Is it just me or was Eurotek a flash in the pan job! Seemed they have not spent to long in the national seen and gone again! Heard some silly rumours they had wild ideas of going into V6 as usal nothing happens, as well as there plans for Renault this year. Also heard from Norfolk that Paul Jackson forma Fortec Engineer has also gone to manage the team??? Is this true or is it Billy Oakes ********????

I know what you mean, it's tempting. But it'll be unofficial testing with no proper times, plus it's with the old cars, and I want to see the new ones in action!

Just got back! Was a bit boring to be honest. I made out 5 teams were there. Comtec, Manor, Paston and T-Sport F3 were there. Also the most interesting part was so were Eurotek. I know a rumour was circulating round that they had gone bust but they did have a driver out. Dunno who he was like!

The afternoon session started off dull and overcast but it soon began to drizzle. Ryan Lewis caused an early red-flag before most of the runners came out. From my personal timing Barber and Stoddart were the quickest. That was only my timing and only over an hour of the session. Certainly they both looked pretty even. The rest out there seemed to be a second or two off their pace.

As I say tho, there weren't many there and with the weather and the red flags it was a bit of a bore. still i got to see and here my first race cars of the year!

racingdad has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
That's always the trouble with these test days - lots of Red Flags. You always get some drivers who don't understand that the aim of the day is to work on set ups, etc., so they keep falling off - no marshalls so Red Flags

Test day marshalls are not usually the same as race day marshalls, but I'm sure that they would have reacted if they thought that Ryan was in the car and in trouble... but they won't have been too concerned about the car.

Ah, I didn't realise Fortec were there too! They must have a new truck or something without the team colours on yet! Certainly I didn't see Mike Conway out whilst I was there, If I'd have known I'd have stuck around a bit longer to see how he shaped up against the times I was getting for Stoddart and Wez. When I left on the damp/wet track they were in the late 1.34s
