As chunterer said, it's good to hear that it's still around- and to answer the question of where it went after the BTCC...

As we've discussed earlier, the other two BTCC Group A Mk1s were Alan Greenhalgh's yellow 'Ordibel' car, which raced in the BTCC in 1983/84, and turned up for a couple of ETC rounds in '85 (Spa and Zolder)

...and Richard Lloyd's car which only appeared once- the final round in 1983, when it was already being advertised for sale (it was described as GTI Engineering's demo car). Was this a new car, or one of his earlier Group 1 Golfs updated as a Group A car? It was a plain white car, with 'GTI Engineering' signwriting, and race #100.

As neither of these cars seem to have appeared in the BTCC with subsequent owners (Greenhalgh's car in '84 was the last Mk1 seen in the BTCC) could they also have gone abroad?

Avgas should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

They are both dry stored since the early 90's. No rust at all but needing a mechanical refurbishment. They are in Gr. A configuration except for the doors and the boot as plasric was allowed in their last year in the Spanish Touring car Championship.

The RAS Car is a Mk 1 that only raced under CAMAC racing colors.

The link to the model pictures is interesting as it does show where the cars were used competitively. It took me a while to realise that if you clicked on the picture of the model you get a picture of the actual car racing or rallying up.
Good to see a brace of 200q being demonstrated at the Race Retro rally stage. Just good to see something a little bit different. One of the cars had genuine RAC Rally history, too.
