Please take a moment to read this post which has been posted on behalf of Mission Motorsports with the kind permission of Ten Tenths.

Mission Motorsport is a charity founded to aid in the recovery and rehabilitation of those affected by military operations by providing opportunities through Motorsport.

Mission Motorsport is run by veterans, serving officers and motorsport professionals. We are appointed as the Combined Services’ official providers of adaptive motorsport, seeking wherever possible to merge the activities of the disabled and those in need with able bodied servicemen and women. Appointed by the British Army Motorsport Association, and operating in direct support of the Defence Recovery Capability, Mission Motorsport provides respite, rehabilitation, recreational opportunities and training to those affected by military operations within the framework of Motorsport.

Our primary audience are the servicemen and women coming through Headley Court and Recovery Centres such as Tedworth House, and those who are brought to us by Battle Back – the UK Military initiative that uses Adaptive Adventure Training and Sports Rehabilitation to help seriously wounded, injured or sick Service Personnel and Veterans.

We are humbled by the support we have received especially from all the marshal community who already offer so much to motorsport with their volunteering.

Following several requests we have some flame retardant overall patches available for sale.

If you would like to purchase a flame retardant patch to show your support for us then please email Sue on sp@missionmotorsport.org

The patches cost £3.00 each + postage.

Thank you all for your support once again and we look forward to seeing you on track very soon.

As an ex Army man (served nearly 24 years) i think this is a great idea. My email will be on its way later today to order a patch.

Could a picture of the patch please be put on 10/10ths. I was unable to find one on Mission Motorsports website.

Email sent to Sue.
Marshalling the BritCar 24hrs last year, I had just gone off post 31 for a kip when this happened to the Mission Motorsport Nissan at Copse at around 3:30am (YouTube). By the time I was back on post at 8:30am, it was back up and running as if nothing had happened.
It wasn't until I saw the YouTube clip and the various reports of the race that I realised just how little time they took to repair so much damage!
A very worthy cause!

These guys are amazing. I met some of them at Britcar 24 hours last year and to say I felt humble is an understatement.

Order will be sent ASAP.

Now we know where to find you all when you're not at a race!

Thank you very much for your support, we've been overwhelmed by the amount of orders we have received today. Huge thanks to Steve for arranging this post for us.

Many of you remember us from the Britcar 24hr last year, it was the highlight of our racing season. Our pit garage was never empty and we were delighted to see so many dressed in orange calling in to offer kind words.

We have a busy season ahead of us, our track events are posted on the calender on our website, we have some more exciting races and events planned that I'd love to share with you but can't just yet.

Along with racing we have had some fantastic results with vocational placements and employment opportunities for our wounded troops. 2 of our Britcar drivers are now in permanent employment following placements arranged by ourselves.

Thank you once again, we are humbled by the level of support we receive and looking forward to seeing you all on track soon.

Sue and the Mission Motorsport team.

Sue (and the rest of the MM team) ... a very warm welcome

Thanks for the speedy response to my emails yesterday and I hope the orders don't overwhelm your new scales.

If there is ever anything you think someone in the marshalling world might be able to help with just stick a post on tenths and we'll see what the orange world can do to assist.

Maybe the post in Cumbria's still a bit slow after all the snow, but has anyone else on this thread received their Mission Motorsport patches yet?
