After looking at the ALMS numbers, that's one series that has no rules for numbers. GT2 Viper is number 11.

IMSA's numbers in the LMS are 75 and 76. 76 is used by the other IMSA car. 75 was just taken by reserve car Asia Endurance.

The other Peugeots were 08 and 09?

Sports-carracing.net reported team Goh.

Goh bought RS Spyder because there is a possibility that the chassis can be diverted to P1 by the regulation change in 2011.
To make the tax cheap, they carried the chassis to Japan.
They changed to the Fuji test for the budget shortfall though they planned to test in AUTOPOLIS circuit and participate in Spa 1000km.
Their Fuji test was done with the 2008 spec aero package excluding a rear wing.
They plan to test an aero package of 2009 specs in the Paul Ricard test in May 13-14.
This test will become the last test for Le mans.

I know it's being discussed in the 'Aston' thread on the main forum, but the news definitely belongs here too.........

.......it would seem safe (further to the article on Daily Sportscar) to assume the third works Lola Aston, of which so little has been said publicly, will indeed race at Le Mans. And, further to joining the recent 24 hour test, a couple of interesting names are now linked with the P1 Le Mans effort; Anthony Davidson and Stuart Hall.

It's not yet known where (if at all) these two might fit in, but it's got me wondering if the current 007 drivers might take the 009 entry at Le Mans, with a quick all Brit line-up in the 007. Just a thought.

That's great news about the Astons, wonder if they can go all the way to the top step?
As well as wishing (as always) that Jan Lammers and Andy Wallace could get something sorted, Warren Hughes really deserves a decent seat somewhere as well.

It's not improbable for an Aston on the podium.

The Aston were quick straight out of the box.

They may have three, so one is bound to finish.

They have a strong enduro line-up.

Deisels have been slowed yet again.

Whos to say they couldnt have taken them on before the new regs a few weeks back if they did with last years car?

I agree with that, it wouldn't be the same without those 3.

Is there anymore news on the Mansell's squeezing in somewhere in GT2 ?

The gap to the diesels has certainly narrowed, but let's not get carried away - yet.

Spa this weekend will show us whether the ACO have got their sums right. As for a top three finish - six diesels will have to fail just to get a foot on the podium......

Narac, Pilet and Long in the first IMSA?
What are the Felbermayrs doing in the IMSA car? I guess they're paying all the costs.

Any news on Westbrook? Is he out or in the Asia Porsche?

IMSA Performance and the Felbermayrs have teamed up to assist Porsche's chances of winning by getting another strong Porsche on the grid.

Well having just watched the race the PUG have the petrols beaten, but the old Audi's were a long way off the pace with the new restrictions, I suspect that the R15's and PUG's will leave everyone else for dust, but will they last 24 hours we will all know in 1 month.

autosport.nl also writes todat that according to Peter Kox the Lambo might be withdrawn because of troubles with their main sponsor from Russia. If that's the case then just can GT1 for this year as there will be no competition at all.

Based on last years form you'd be stupid to not snap up Verstappen.

I am not a big fan of jos Verstappen but last year clearly showed that he was the fastest driver in LMP2 even showing most LMP1's the way at Le mans in the wet night.
Let's see what he can do in a very fast LMP1 car, if he gets the drive he deserves.

Is that also the reason Russinov wasn't in Spa?

Noooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So thats why Rusinov wasnt at Spa and the two rookies were? Sounds plausible..Hope this doesnt mean the end of the LMS season for them, it would great to see the Lambo go out with another win, even if it is against not much competition.

Fingers crossed they sort this out and turn up at Le Sarthe.

You reckon the Lambo was going to be competition to the vettes anway?
The only competition the Lambo was going to be in was first GT1 retirement.

But you are right though, GT1 can't afford to loose another car.
