Thanks Gerben, but what I cannot find on the Brands website is a plan of the circuit showing where the stands are. When I was last there 4 years ago there was an empty field where the startline stand had stood for the previous 40 odd years. From TV coverage of recent events I have yet to see a replacement.

For big meetings like the WSB this weekend, Champ Car and A1 temp stands are put up along Colin Chapman Way

If you mean next door to the Stewart and Brabham Centres that is not a stand but a toilet block with a small viewing area on top. All the stands used last weekend with the exception of Paddock Hill Bend Stand are temp stands

The MSV web site here does list a "Raceday GP Paddock & Pit Pass" at 10 GBP.

Best place to view?

Have never been to Brands - as my time at the circuit will be limited (only probably attending on race day) would someone with knowledge with knowledge of the circuit be kind enough to share some pointers on the better viewing spots?

TIA

For photographs Druids is best and you can get on the infield where there is no debris fence

There are no bad places to view from on Brands GP circuit (or Indy come to think of it). Druids is indeed A1 for photography (sorry!) but us anoraky amateur photographers tend to recall Champ Car in 2003...... remember all that awful secondary debris fencing....? Lets hope MSV aren`t forced to do what Octagon had to do back then......

Haven't thought about that, it wouldn't surprise me if that happened. If we keep quiet, maybe they won't think of it?

What is far more worrying is if permanent fencing were to go up instead of the temporary stuff which could be taken down afterwards.... Now that would be a real tragedy and would scar Brands forever potentially.

The 4 temp stands that were ertected for WSB have not been taken down and there is no sign of them being taken down. There is a pit walkabout see the Brands website for more details www.brandshatch.co.uk

A1 Grand Prix Championship
Tag Heuer GT250
International GT's
Formula Palmer Audi Championship
MSV Formula Ford Championship
Powertrain Caterham Challenge
Ginetta

Not the best lineup in the world esp. Palmer Audi, having seen yesterday...borefest.

Be interesting to see what Intertional GT's are and Tag Heuer GT250 is all about.

That's a blooming good line up if you ask me. A1GP will be excellent, while MSV FF1600, Caterhams and Ginettas will provide dependable entertainment of the highest order. I'd go if I wasn't already committed to Cadwell.

GT250 is a 2-race event open to Britsh GT / FIA GT / LMES / Britcar teams. See
http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/re...vcode=tagheuer

Can't see anything about International GTs but there's also a FIA Thoroughbred Grand Prix race.

Just booked weekend tickets as the missus isn't so fussed about hopping to France on the Saturday

Anyone have opinions on whether the paddock/pitlane pass is worth the money and if so which day would you recommend? I'm thinking it might be good for the photo opportunities... especially as all I have at the mo is a Canon Ixus 40.

Grant and I will be there in orange - really looking forward to it.

Also, if anyone is interested in going and hasn't got our tickets yet, check our our A1GP competition in the A1GP forum, where there are 3 pairs of tickets up for grabs!
