I think it did, but no pictures unfortunately. Someone else who has been posting here recently knows better than me, can anyone confirm for sure?

I've heard that it ran, but as there are no pictures, I would imagine it didnt have much bodywork on it.

Alot of issues the car will have are around the engine, as the F430 engine is not designed to be a stressed member of the chassis. So any shakedown it may have had, was probably concerning the engine.

Someone on another forum I visit, who knows an A1GP insider, tells me that the shakedown was cancelled due to a shortage of radiator parts and that it will now take place in Fiorano, with Marc Gene at the wheel.

Don't know how reliable it is though...

Naturally that would be one of the obvious concerns but I wouldn't worry too much about it. They would've made certain that the block could take the stresses generated.

The practice of plonking a road car engine into a single seater is quite common. Plenty of examples for this I'm sure and in most cases the engines are based on the production engine then adapted and strengthened as necessary for single seater use - Formula BMW, World Series by Renault, GP2 etc

well its pretty pointless running sans engine cover as you need the airbox, and flow to the rear wn being right, being a monocoque that accounts for most of the middle bit of the body, the rads are in the side pod so they need to be on to cool properly...

Great looking car from the front IMO. Hope it doesnt deliver F1 style racing, hope they still can overtake alot with this car, but at least the looks are good, nice and clean.

According to the English version of the story "All the crows was pretty amazed by the first outing of the all-new package".

A testing program will now be conducted at Imola and Fiorano, hopefully there will be some more images. Looking forward to seeing it in some team colours, I guess we'll have to wait a couple of months for that tho.

Thanks a lot for posting that Valker.

The car looks good. Hope it's as good as the article says... or maybe even better.

"...just another winged single seater..."

tbh they could have grabbed a Formula Renault chassis, no one would have known, but that's just me being cynical again

But I agree, can't wait to see this one in British Racing Green, Orange, Azure Blue, Sky Blue or Gloss Black.

Very interesting to see they seem to be hiding the rear wing in the picture, I wonder if there's a development there for easier overtaking???

Definately an 'approved' pic as to not to show too much

There's a (quite small) photo of the whole car on track in Autosport today... I don't have a scanner to share it unfortunately. Not too sure about how the rear of it looks... need some more angles to pass judgment!

The cars looks beautiful on design, and is glad to see the shakedown was as expected. Hope the development could be fruitful for the series.

There is a teaser clip of the series official website saying the wait is almost over, so the unveiling cannot be too far away.
