Former BTCC driver Craig Baird has extended his lead in the New Zealand Trans am series by winning the third round at Timaru.
More controversy between Baird and Fellow Kiwi Shane Drake emerged after contact was made when Baird apparentky punted drake at the hairpin and Drake went off another 2 times and claimed Baird hit him again but Baird denied this claim. Baird was fines $300 for hitting Drake the first time. Baird now has a 69 point lead over Drake in the series...but will miss the next round in mid febuary due to his commitment to the Austarlian V8 supercar series which kicks off on the same weekend |
