There's a report on the BBC site http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/n...re/6908362.stm which says Silverstone village has suffered flooding, guess may affect some tomorrow.

The BARC say everything is still go for this weekend at Silverstone but the situation will be reviewed in the morning.
Weather is supposed to be better for the weekend and with the new bypass, we don't need to touch the village do we? On a personal note: I hope Fay & Alan are OK.......I'll bring me bucket! |

I'm booked into the travelodge for tomorrow night - think it will still be a bit soggy for the tent.
The severe weather forecast for postcode NN12 8TQ (Silverstone) is in place until 03:00hrs tomorrow. The Highways Agency reports of flooded parts of the M1 in Northants. Still plan to come down though. I'll be the one in the Ark! |

When you come off the A43 for the road down to the main entrance, be careful, there's a massive puddle. Hopefully it will be gone by 8.30am tomorrow, I nearly lost the car in it today!

Got to say I had a fantastic weekend at Silverstone at Brooklands.......which probably was the busiest post on circuit.
A brilliant bunch of people to work with who again made me feel very welcome. A special mention to the two crews on Rescue on Saturday........a text-book bit of work I thought, on what looked (At The Time) like a very serious incident. Well done to all, and thanks for the Company! |
