I thought that too. Judging by how enthusiastic people were about it at Le Mans it turns out that there is a high level of live and let live out there with appreciation of those who try things. Well done real people!

Thanks but I wasn't counting on it being punted off the track. . .

It's my fault, but I came clean on that before the race.

Nailed the official retirement time too.

All they needed to do was to stay on track. They've had no competition, nobody to catch or to run from, but have been eliminated by somebody else's stupid move. Such a shame!

Amazing video of Motoyama trying to fix the Deltawing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJylUpzQ-iQ

That video is heartbreaking. They were talking at the track about how hard he was working, and, to be honest, when Marino got into the RLM booth and said he was holding off drinking because Motoyama was still trying to fix the car I didn't believe he would be working several hours after the crash.

Just another reason I love the 24 Heures De Mans

Great spirit! Also, your Basil reference gave me a good chuckle, and I almost could envision Henri Pescarolo considering that during his weekend.

Real shame as was looking forward to see it through the Dunlop bridge at night. I gather the top brass at Toyota did make a personal apology to the team which shows thye ream ethos of what Le Mans is all about.

Now, if they could only make it sound like a Corvette then I would be really happy!
