Rensenbro

This is a departure for me in that this is a Modification of an existing circuit.

To be precise I've taken the circuit layout of the Jyllands-Ringen, near Rensenbro in Denmark. which is 1.4 miles (2.3km) long. Made the modifications to increase the circuit up to 2 miles (3.2km) in length.

There are multiple variations of the circuit available depending on the series wishing to use it.

I've added a Google Earth capture to show the proposal in effect.

It looks nice, but I think the infield section in the upper left half is unnecessary. Instead of that, I'd push back the final 180-degree corner of that section into the infield a bit, to increase runoff.
And I like the style of your graphics.

Don't know if it fits your requested lenght, but I made a revision of the track a while ago, and I post it anyway. I moved the paddock to the infield, to allow for grandstands along the main straight. This meant a loss of circuit in the infield, but that is made up for by a few new corners where the old paddock used to be. As a bonus we now have a long back straight with an overtaking spot at the end.

Here's my go...

First main change is that the length of the main straight has been dramatically increased & the pits have been moved to the inside. T1 is now a hairpin followed by a couple of slow corners. The next straight is not straight at all but contains a flowing fast giant esse type couple of corners all leading to a new hairpin. A short straight (with kink) leads to a tightening apex corner, followed by another short straight with a couple of fairly tight esse bends. These lead to a corner whose apex has been eased slightly moving the track out a bit, into a now faster 2nd corner. Another medium length straight (with kink) leads to a double apex corner further out & much faster (due to a steep positive camber) than the original. Another medium length straight (with kink!) leads to a new hairpin bend. Exiting this there are 2 more esses with a slightly longer run to the banked final corner onto the straight. A much faster & a bit longer version of the Jyllands-Ring.

A couple of nice edits.

With my own design it was my intention to essentially stay within the confines of the existing ciruit and the land in which it sits. As a result the top left corner, as has been pointed out, is a bit congested.

You have to remember that in its current configuration that 'long back straight' would only be about 400 meters long. Not so long at all by track standards.

True. Butt it's at least a bit longer than now. And, to be honest, racing is about cornering isn't it?

You have to get going fast enough first though, to make real use of those corners.

And honestly, it's the combinations of turns AND straights that makes a great circuit. Fuji had that incredible 300R corner that led onto a mile-long straight. That was a long enough flat-out section to go back a forth a couple times in slipstreaming battles. Monza was much the same before the chicanes were added in the 1970s.
