Uncle Cranker should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
SBR sign Courtney as Ambrose's replacement?? (Ponderance)

It is reported over at V8 kindergarten that SBR are soon to announce James Courtney as their replacement for Marcos.

It is also insinuated that this story has been around since the Monday after Bathurst.

Anyone; Anyone.

Pardon my ignorance, but what makes Dave Moy's say-so "official"?

He knows everything about V8 Supercars and was an official sponsors representative for Siemens when they sponsored HRT. He now works for Telstra but spends most of his working day Posting on V8Central.He classes many people in the V8 circus as friends including Mark Skaife.Hes knows everything.

If true, what a waste of talent this would be .......

An incredible coup for SBR, but a waste of talent nonetheless.

Still a long way from being confirmed - will wait for a press release from the Stones before I write it off as "official".

Is this an "endurance drive only "contract maybe ?
That would make a slight amount of sense.

(but not much as Bathurst generally conflics with a GP)

This is intresting, before Bathurst HRT was running a chatroom with Todd and James and Jimbo did say he wasn't intrested in a full time drive in the V8's main Series or the Development Series

didnt Mr Gow, one manager for James Courtney announce that James still had a contract with Toyota for the Japanese GT series next year. What would make anyone think that he has gone back on this?

100% with you there adz.

At least as a contracted Toyota driver Little Jimbo still holds a bare threaded link to F1, which lets face it is where he belongs.

No pedalling around in a Tin-top duck pond, that thinks itself far more important than the rest of the motorsport world does.

In this instance, i'm inclined to believe him and I have been quite critical of Dave in the past.
