Just for the record the mini 7 club is holding its AGM this weekend where car and rule changes will be voted on by the competitors then and if passed the rules or changes will come in to effect in 12 months time.
This seems a very fair way dont you think. |

I hear that the M7RC are considering allowing LSD's in Migs, an interesting move.
SEMSEC have a good calendar this season with three trips to Brands, I think that's where I will be. Plus Spa and maybe Nurburgring, although I hear I may need to add a catalytic converter for these events? |

All SE Mini racers might like to know that Big Dave is laid up with a broken arm
Dave, I think you should stop trying to juggle Shogun's – A bit much, even for you Hope you get fixed soon, and no I don't think you can weld this one mate! |

I suggest that some one contacts Alex Osbourne and tells him about this rule.

Fair point Graham (and this dont affect me as i have existing floor) but i think that some of the mini drivers see this as a kick in the nuts what with changing of the class structures as well.

1stly we cant have one rule for one class or just minis and another for everyone else 2ndly, the scruitieers asked for the clarification, so that it its there like it or not 3rdly, how can making an existing rule which it now seems obvious that certain cars didnt comply with clearer be a kick in the nuts? its more of a kick in the nuts to all the other cars that have always complied 4thly, you all seem rather outraged, but making a public song and dance isnt going to help anyones case |

Hi Graham, enraged is probably a bit strong, I/we hadn't appreciated this was a clarification of an existing rule, and as you say, rules are rules so it's up to us to decide whether we want to run to them.
What is disappointing personally is that we now won't see most if not all of the minis mentioned above out in DMN. Also, had Lee not mentioned it here, some of us would have turned up at the first round oblivious to this clarification, how are these communicated to the competitiors - I can't see anything in the posted provisional regs drawing attention to this? Thanks, Chris |

the provisional regs you will of seen are exactly the same as the MSA has and its in there.
there have been notications in both our brief talk magazine and in the covering letter which was attached to regulations we sent or emailed out advising there may be detail changes to the regulations and competitors were advised to read them, personally i cant understand how anyone can enter a car without reading the rules |

To clarify I am not at all outraged, just a bit confused about it all and disillusioned.

So what happens IF cars that won classes overall in previous years weren't within these rules?? Will the next legal car be awarded with the class win/s? Please don't anybody take offence by this question,I'm just interested and don't want to upset anybody. |

Yep.
We have a class structure for non-slick cars but at present that wouldn't benefit a sub 1400cc car. We have had a few Mini Miglia's run with us in the past. We also keep getting interest from Honda engined Mini's but they have yet to materialise anywhere yet, fingers crossed. Keith Wilkinson is also a regular runner with us. Commutes all the way from SPAIN. You might recognise his name, he had his car stolen last year but is busy sticking together a new one. |

Some one please correct me if im wrong but not being allowed a carbon boot floor is not a saftey issue but a dmn regs and not a MSA ruling.
Because you can run in class A. |
