The Fat Clerk should be qualifying in the top 10 on the gridThe Fat Clerk should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Mallory Test Day - October 18th

What a difference a week makes, last week is was all wet & gloom, this morning everyone had a puposeful look.
A seriously eclectic mix of cars took to the track on what was an open pitlane. 4 racing Ferrari Sportscars of assorted value - A P3, P4 275 & 312. were probably the highlight, with the 1st 3 + Alan Minshaws Ford Malibou all being driven by Ian Flux.
Not to be out done, Simon Hadfied was out in A Lotus F2, Chevron B16 & the 312.
Maybe not quite so exotic, but still impressive were the 2 Coopers (one a Bristol).
Also out were assorted MR2's (one being tested by Daryll Beckwiths Father),& Kit Cars practicing for Sundays 750MC meeting, along with a Mk2 Cavalier, a Fiesta, a Jaguar D Type, a 911 GT2, an AC Cobra an MGB and a couple of F.Ford 2000's + Peter Daly in his FFord 1600obviously getting ready for the Walter Hayes in a couple of weeks.
Certainly beats going to work!

It might be better than going to work, but you will have to learn manufacturers badges,Chevrolet not Ford made the Malibu.

The Galaxie (note the spelling!) was a 'full-size' car, the Malibu was an 'intermediate', so the Galaxie's a bigger car.

Alan Minshaw's big yank is definitely a Chevy Malibu, not a Ford Galaxie! (t'wasn't me who said it was a Galaxie! )
