new BMW LMP2 engine?

I read it some article but cannot for the life of me remember where, about a new BMW based LMP2 engine for LMP2. I also cannot remember whether it was on this side of the pond or in the States?

Anyone have any ideas, as a quick search around doesn't mention anything other than the Judd engine being BMW based. Perhaps a derivative of the DTM engine?

From Laurent Mercier via Sportscar365:

A new team could make its debut in the European Le Mans Series this year, as well as lodging an entry in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. (en Français)

Complete details are not yet known about the program, although it’s understood that it’s an American team that currently competes in the GT class.

The program would see one of the former Gulf Racing Middle East Lola B12/80 chassis, but with a BMW-based Judd engine instead of the Nissan powerplant currently installed.

If the project comes to fruition, Romain Brandela would be one of the drivers.

This.

Isn't the Judd V8 just a sleeved M3 GT2 V8? If so it's been around since 2011 in the back of numerous LMP2 cars.
