The Ford "Postergate" Debate
Who was the ignorant VESA/AVESCO **** that ripped the Falcon sign from Whincup hand then screwed it up.

It would be someone from AVESCO OR TEGA.
only because they exist to serve the interests of Holden. |

With the boss of Ford Racing, Mr Ray Price standing right in front of them. What must he think of that?

Is Bathurst different to every where else? Or have they now put something in place ala Rick Kelly with the can of softdrink last year. I would have thought that given they play the Holden/Ford thing to the hilt a winner holding up the company line would have been good karma.

hmmm, how would the series fair if one of the manufacturers pulled out because they are not winning, and the other one is gaining all the exposure?

I saw the footage, who ever it was that ripped it off him is a dick! Given that he was wearing official AVESCO clothing i would think that there will be some words had, even more so given that Ford Motorsport Boss Ray Price was standing right beside him.
Whoever you are... give yourself an uppercut |

A new rule prohibiting the one the biggest supporters/suppliers of the category. Biting the hand that feeds in this instance.

I noticed it and I thought the same thing.
What's funny was that the 10 producer cut back just in time to see the ford sign getting scrunched up. Those posters have been around forever and I for one can't remember ever seeing one snatched and torn up like that before.. |

I'd like to see that jackass run into the crowd and try to scrunch up about 200 of them that were getting waved about by the punters, he would have been flogged.

Hi All
As usual, we miss all the interesting stuff in our broadcast here in NZ Did this happened at the podium presentation? I looked in the regs from the VESA site, and I guess this one covers it from Section E: 2.6.2 Presence at Podium Presentations 2.6.2.1 No promotional or marketing material is permitted on the Podium or to be held aloft in front of the Podium at any time. 2.6.2.2 Without prior permission of the MM or the OM, commercial, marketing and promotional personnel or related materials, such as posters, banners, mascots, flags or signs, are not permitted in the direct vicinity, as determined by the MM or the OM, of the television interview area, parc ferme, podium presentation or media conference, apart from those persons directly concerned with the actual Team (ie. Drivers and Team members). This includes being in the direct line of sight in front of or behind these areas. Team members, or Related Entities are also not permitted to display these materials in these areas. |
