That'll keep Alfa Fan happy knowing the car number.

If it looks anything like the Schubert run car in the VLN then i'm sure it'll look stunning.

Does anyone know what the regulations are like concerning the tuning of the diesel engine?
Are they regulated on boost pressure? any type of restrictor on the turbo inlet? etc etc..

The car that ran in the VLN was supposed to be pushing 240bhp, not sure on the torque figures but when it ran at Dubai 2006 it was putting in quicker times than the M3's with Stuck in the chair.

Definately interested in how it will perform in a sprint race.

Wow, that 120d looks amazing right now, those fenders seem a bit wider than most S2000 cars though. However, the most important question must be asked, is the BMW going to keep those trick taillights, that only half the light illuminates when part brake is applied, and all is illuminated when full brake?

I don't know if there's a thread for the Clios, but I see there's a whopping 43 cars on the entry list!
Whith the performance Bell showed in his BMW, I cannot imagine that lots of drivers fancied a drive in that car. It seemed that they dind't get the set-up right. They promised it would be better this year though

You would have thought that a lot of the set up depends on how well the driver communicates with his engineer though surely?

BTW, That's not meant as a **** on Mr Bell in any way.

There's a story on BTCC website today - Encke pushes on with plans
Quote:
While we are already talking to people, we are still interested to hear from anyone who is looking to make the move into the BTCC
So several days after the entry deadline they not only don't have anyone signed but they are still actively looking for new drivers to speak to. Doesn't exactly inspire you with any confidence that we will actually see them this year.

Aren't these the ex-GA Motorsport cars - maybe the cars are fated. After all we spent much of the last 2 years being repeatedly told that "they really will be in the BTCC soon, honest".

Entries can always be lodged without drivers signed though - I'm sure there are teams that will have been in that position in the past (and are in the same one this time around).

I'm sure there are other teams still in negotiations, it's the fact that they are still looking for drivers to be in negotiation with that's worrying.

It simple comes down to $$ again? They want a paying/talented driver, but that's rarely seen these days.
