Have to disagree, Matt. That was WAY too optimistic by Lucas. The #6 was carrying so much more speed than the GTC, and the gap simply wasn't there when the HPD arrived. The driver of the GTC would have to be continuously watching the mirrors to have a chance in that case, which isn't practical at that point on the track. The road isn't straight and the HPD has an insane closing speed there; the GTC hasn't got a prayer of taking evasive action at that place with an LMP1 coming up like that.
This is a bit like the McNish crash, only Lucas was fully-sighted, and ran off the road trying to make the move to boot. |

The Green Hornet car had another car to its left, if he doesn't move across he likely takes out/gets taken out by the car on the left at the next corner. Just an unfortunate incident, Lucas took the decision to pass on the outside at the exact same time as the Green Hornet car decided to move across to take the racing line.

I saw no chop, just the driver following his line, and the curve of the road.

Hope Muscle Milk make their 70% goal.....just a great pity the battle with Rebellion was cut short so early in the race.

Did the Rebellion and Greaves cars actually make contact in the incident that ended with the Greaves car hitting the wall?
