sheepy should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Thruxton

Just got my tickets for Thruxton on 16th September but have a quick question about my vehicle pass.

For the F3/GT meeting I had a track pass and drove round to post 16 on the circuit. For this meeting my vehicle pass just says "Officials" so I assume this means I have to park in the public car park and walk over. Does this have any impact on what duties I may be doing?

Thanks for any replies!

It is quiet simply. If you have a track pass your in the sticks. If not you will most likely be on one of the post between the club chicane and the complex.Your duties will still be the same.

If I remember rightly, the Officials vehicle pass means you can park in the car park on the right hand side of the main entrance, rather than with the general public who park on the left.

I think what he means is he got one ticket with official on and probably one with complimentary one, one so he can get in and one so his guest can get in, thats what we normally get at Thruxton

but I could be wrong!

No it was about the vehicle pass (the one you stick to the windscreen) as opposed to the tickets. Last one I had said Track Marshal whereas this one just says Officials.

I have just checked with Sara.

The printing on the car pass is incorrect with 'Official' on it instead of 'Track'

If you have a car pass treat it as a Track Pass. If you don't have any vehicle pass park in the car park to the left of the main entrance.

Do the security at Thruxton ever know what is going on?

Then you obviously didn't know that during your first visit, on the Saturday when they ran out of bottled water, someone was sent to the nearest supermarket to get some more and security wouldn't let him back in because he didn't have his ticket, hence the reason for the delay!

But it should be remembered that although Thruxton is a BARC circuit, the meeting mentioned above was a BRSCC event, with visiting officials for the weekend. Therefore security would not automatically know who they were!!!!!

Sometimes you just need to stand your ground with the gate guys. Earlier on in the year Dan and I were told that the Marshal's camp site was on the left and we didn't need to go in the main enterance, and after politely telling the guy three times that the Marshal's camp site is on the right and pointing to all the caravans, he finally checked with his mate, who said "oh yea it up there in the right".

We told him to tell you that, because of your reputation. We didn't want anybody's caravan catching fire or someone having a blowout on their airbed, just because you happened to be near by, I see you couldn't even resist it at Goodwood, shame on you!!!!
See you soon Dee.

Don't i would never wish Harvey to go wall banging.

We can't help it if everyone just wants to come and see us. I still blame Dee.

While were on Thruxton, any chance on sorting the showers out, they are both stupidly hot, dangerously hot even and the one I used had no head on it, it was almost impossible to use, If a child was to use it they could get scalded

I've never used them so I can't comment, but I'm sure there must be someone you can talk to about turning the temp down a bit.
