Have there been any rumors to bring a two dog team to any races this season?

I was 95% of the way there on a Labradoodle and Cockapoo program but the funding fell through. I've had to sack everyone and now I just take my Cockapoo out around the neighborhood.

If only the ALMS had ratings like American Idol!

Typically we bring three. It is looking like they will stay at home this year. And the further guesses are incorrect.

Is it some type of Pointer? A German perhaps?

So the latest on the Baltimore Round of the ALMS series this year is that it will be run by "Race On LLC". The City of Baltimore has now approved this management team to run the Baltimore Grand Prix as they have signed a 5-year contract. Race On has hired Andretti Sports Marketing to handle operations, sales, marketing and logistics. Race On is run by J.P. Grant and Greg O'Neill. It appears that tickets will go on sale beginning May 28.

Well, to look on the upside of it: Panoz putting a team into his own series again can't be a bad thing and neither would be the involvement of Nissan - especially if it was in P1.

Balancing the D-Wing and the traditional LMPs might be quite a problem, though.

Would be interesting to see what Nissan think about the future of this project. I'm sure they will be happy to sell the engine to customers, but I imagine once they've had the big PR hit they won't be too fussed.

I think most sportscar fans would prefer to see them either convert their engine to P1 spec or even better produce a car of their own.

Dyson's gonna need a car next year, they're not doing too well with the POS lola that's gonna go away anyway, might as well run the DW.

Why is the car that dominated the petrol class at Spa (over the new HPD no less) is being repeatedly called an uncompetitive PoS?

As for the DW racing in ALMS, I see this is as a frightening concept, considering the fact the car can actually last 2h 45min and therefore win if Panoz allows it to.
Dyson and Cytosport are probably comparing the pros and cons of G/A DP vs. GTE as we speak.

The Lola B12/60 goes quite well in the hand of Rebellion. So Dyson's issues could also be tyre and/or engine related.

As a team owner's son, Chris is much better than average. His lap times aren't far off the best pros.

As a team, it seems as though they just lost something when Pat Smith left. If a car is good out of the box, they seem fine, but if it isn't, they take a long time to catch up. Well, Pat and I don't think Guy or Chris are the development guy that Weaver was.

I guess I'm just going by the current metric of the Taylor Boys and Tommy Milner. All of them are sharp enders and real quick. Chris has been running pro level stuff now for 10+ years, as well as a number of open wheel cars, and while he's not *bad*, he really has never shown much beyond "pretty decent gentleman driver" He's usually never within 2 seconds of a "pro" guy, and still seems to get flustered in traffic.

Sad to see Dyson show up 4+ seconds off the P1 pace at Laguna, and nearly 2 off of P2, and through 3 practice sessions, qualifying and a 6 hour race never get any quicker. Watching cytosport devour a nearly 25 second deficit in 10 laps at Long Beach and pass them like they were standing still had to be disheartening. It's obvious why they ditched Le Mans.

To be fair, they did make up some ground over the 6 hours. Their fastest laps came within 1.3 seconds of Muscle Milk and were faster than all of the P2 cars. They were not consistent, but they were able to eventually find some speed.

Yeah, the performance at Laguna was downright embarrassing. They're supposed to be one of the best teams in the paddock and yet the bottom of the LMPC field appeared to have a better engineering effort.

Anyone else fear the engine is significantly underperforming too? Do wee have speed traps to prove or remove my doubts?

They treated the race like an extended test, as they did Sebring and they wound up "winning" Sebring. Fingers and toes will be crossed that Pickett Racing has one or two DNFs in the longer races.

As for the Deltawing, I don't like how it looks, but if Marino Franchitti is in the series racing something on P1 or P2 pace I'll be happy.
