Everything you will need to know can be found on www.marshalsguide.com/index.php/Croft - including Maps and other Useful Info.

If you find stuff is missing, dont forget you can register and update it yourself. In fact as a first-timer, it might be a good test of the Marshalsguide info!

Have fun, stay safe!!

Entrance & parking at Croft

There are TWO entrance gates to Croft from the public road 100 yards apart during a BTCC event. [A metre is a French approximation to a yard!]
Sign on starts at 08:00am Saturday. If you sensibly arrive before 08:00 am on Sat. enter by the main entrance and ask for Security where marshals park (Assembly Area or on race track if Assembly is full).

If you arrive AFTER 08:00 am enter by 2nd entrance that on Friday 22nd June was labelled "Camping". On Saturday it will probably be labelled "Officials". This entrance opens at 08:00 am hence advice above (I hate early mornings).

This 2nd entrance enters behind Post 4; after passing through at entrance security, turn right at T junction. Follow tarmac round past Marketing Tents, past Med. centre and lavatories on your left, past back of grandstand then turn left into Assembly Area.

Sign on in Porta-Cabin, find out which post you are on. THEN, find a Croft regular marshal and ask him to explain where to park for your marshal post/duty. You WILL NOT leave in yopur car in Assembly Area after marshals briefing [08:45 Sat.] Hopefully the programme received at sign on will have a circuit map for you to understand where to park at post.

This is a radio communication circuit, if you have a scanner, bring it.

If you are camping / caravanning ask security at entrance where to go. Have fun because the marshals camp site is on the grass airstrip. It rained heavily on Friday so tow cars with worn summer tyres will have "fun" with spinning tyres. For those under canvas, I hope your groundsheet is shaped like a boat or you have a camp bed to lift you above saturated ground.

That was a "fun" weekend, I personally was in a caravan on the hardstanding at the end of the temp paddock, but it was rocking in the wind on Friday night! Really felt for those unfortunates under canvas, I know many didnt get much sleep, I only managed 3.5 hrs myself after a 24hr day on Friday! Tired on post wasnt the word, but a superb bunch of Scottish marshals to share it with and they kept me laughing all the way! Slightly better on Saturday night but only slightly! The lads had their moment of the weekend assisting to extinguish the fire at Tower In during the last Touring car race! Brilliant effort fellas!
Was good to see some old friends and make some new ones. Im sure I'll be back.

Nice to meet you Ron, even did a bit of Incident myself, jogging up to near post 9 to retreave a screwdriver on track, then running back as they started the green flag lap..... that reminded me why I Flag
