I heard it would be run in a similar livery, but with just a few slogans saying the names of their sponsors "internet rumours" and "fiction to fact"!

No fact behind this but I wonder if Matt Jakson isn't quite the dead cert for Airwaves that we all think he is. As far as I am aware he hasn't tested the car once, and you would think that if its the formality with Onslow-Cole gone then surely something would have happened. Just a hunch, based on the hint that one of the last two known entries will be a surprise.

Agreed Lee: I would have expected Jackson to have been announced say, yesterday, so that all 4 cars could be tested at their local BTCC test today. The fact that car wasn't out suggests negotiations are still taking place.

Dave Newsham has stated he will be comparing his performance to Airwaves Racing’s Fabrizio Giovanardi in the 2014 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.
Moving to AMD Tuning from Speedworks Motorsport, Newsham will compete in the same machinery as the returning double champion

but so far the AMD Focus is not 2014 spec so not exactly same machinery?!

I tell you what, United Autosports might be a dark horse for doing well considering the amount of testing they're putting in. Donington, Rockingham, Thruxton, Oulton Park, Brands Hatch, Silverstone all done and still Croft to come before media day.

It's not surprising to see that team taking it seriously. The only real surprise to me was the choice of car, but I believe that is planned to change for 2015.

Speedworks also did lots of testing last year but it didn't help them that much

lots of tests doesn't guarantee any results

It's not the same at the moment, but I believe that Dave has said that if the 2014 Focus is a noticeable improvement on their car, Motorbase will supply the 2014 upgrades to AMD, so I guess he is interested to see the difference.

Does anyone know what upgrades Motorbase are running on their updated Focus?

Looking at the pictures the Gio/Airwaves car is running a different front bumper to the Clarke/Crabbies car. And both of them are different to the 2013 car (and obviously the Newsham/AMD car)

Perhaps it is over-excitement, but if the deal was done, why not announce it alongside TOC's news?

Either a sub-par PR effort, a deliberate attempt to build a little internet buzz or a wait until a driver confirms their sponsorship and announces their drive in the third car.

I was at Brands rather than Croft but it seems Alain Menu and Jack Goff also attended the test and, no doubt, Warren Scott. Although Tony Gilham was at Brands checking the competition out late on.

But their Toyotas were rubbish and the drivers never got a handle on them all season long.

United are a completely different proposition.

Noticed Jordan now carries Honda signage on the rear of the car.

Have heard this very scenario further up the grapevine, that one of the 2 seats left (RAR or Airwaves) will be a surprise! So either no Jackson at Airwaves or no Jake Hill at RAR!?!

I'd agree with u on this! Don't forget that Morgan was a top ten feature in his Toyota & by the seasons end even Newsham was qualifying inside the top ten. The Toyota may not be the best car but it's not bad, set up right & engineered well it's definitely top ten material.
