Why not pay a Working Visit to Ireland?
Over the closed season there were a couple of threads about where people have and haven't marshalled. Something that came up in both threads was folks who have marshalled in Mondello or who would like to do so.
The calendar for the year here was in a state of flux for a while but is now looking pretty well settled. I'd like to throw an open invite to all to come over and pay us a working visit. If you'd like to find out how others have got on over here, Bob the Race Gypsy and Guisbro Rod H are two 10-10ths members that spring to mind who could tell you all about us. (I'm sure a few of the others who have also been over will also give us a good reference). I've split the dates for the year into clubman (and super race) events and bigger events. Whilst the numbers required for the bigger events are greater (as we use the longer circuit configurations) and we'd therefore apprciate visitors more, my own experience suggests that clubman events can be more fun to work at. The Super Race dates are dates where the top single seater and saloon classes here get two races each with some support races. Mondello Park is the venue for all events, with the exception of the Phoenix Park races. That event takes place in a city centre park on a temporary circuit and is a pretty special weekend. The dates are ....... Bigger Events: May 7th/8th/9th – FIA Historics/GT June 12th/13th - BTCC July 17th/18th – Phoenix Park Races October 9th/10th – BRDA Rallycross Clubman Events: March 28th – Club Car Racing April 11th – Super Race Sunday May 2nd – Club Car Racing June 27th – Super Race Sunday July 4th – Club Car Racing August 1st – Super Race Sunday August 8th – Club Car Racing August 22nd – Club Car Racing September 18th – Club Car Racing September 19th – Super Race Sunday October 3rd – Club Car Racing October 24th – Rallycross November 14th – Rallycross November 28th – Rallycross Send me a PM or email me at derek.harnett@mrmci.com for more info. |

You can volunteer online on our web site - www.mrmci.com - under the events tab.
I'm also likely to be chief marshal for the BTCC as it happens (work and 2CV commitments allowing). So if you send me an email I can register your interest. Looking forward to working with you ...... |
