Who's going to Bathurst 24 Hour

I was planning to make the trip to Mountain this year for the 24 Hour. Just wondering who else was planning to head up. Just an idea, I was dreaming about a 10/10 pavilion or tent where everyone from this forum could get together for a bit.

It,s going to be a great event.Expect to see at least 20 foreign teams.
The Bathurst 24 hour website will be up and running tomorrow in its own right at www.bathurst24hr.com.
A major press function is happening in Sydney at the opera house on wednesday 17th July.
All this according to my mate who,s in the know!!

Nah, Noosa Hillclimb is on the same weekend- kind of commited to that with work etc... and besides, it's a fairly fantastic event in its own right.

I will probably end up going but depends on a) our soon to be born child, b) state of mind of mother of said baby and c) how many friends are involved.

Would be good to team up and heckle the commentary over 24 hours (couldn't be easy to keep up the enthusiasm/interest over that length of time) and perhaps have a brew or two!

I will definately be going. I have already booked a few days off work so i can make the long journey to the mount. It looks like i will be a crew member for a team if all things go well. If not i will be spectating.

Sadly, I will not be there, when I get home from the V8 Bathurst 1000, i will be fresh out of annual leave and busily trying to save up more for a Mexican tour in March.

NME, welcome to the forum and make sure you also pop across to the racer's forum and tell us about you, your car and your exploits.

No chance, too far away, during exam time etc, plus I want to go to the Noosa Hillclimb too, because I missed it last time.

I will be there running a car. I have a small crew but are always looking for some extra poeple(with some idea of which end of a wheel brace to hold on too)to help out over the 24hrs. Leave a message in the P.M's

275GTB-4 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I thought about going long and hard, but, with the four days off work for the Bathurst 1000 its too much for me. Going to Bathurst is quite a commitment any many ways (just getting there can be a chore!), what with the lack of sleep due to others partying, massive explosions, abysmal facilities etc. A 24 hour gig might be fun and a novelty just the once. I am one official who believe that organisrs could try a little harder to look after their volunteers. To be fair, what I have seen discussed in this forum is encouraging (talk of some place safe, just for marshals etc sounds good).

Thats sounds really great. I really like the Porsches headed by Lyall Williamson. Also the Alfa's from the ETCC is brilliant, I really hope they make the trip, just to see those cars on track will make the whole event for me.
