Bathurst V8 24 hour
Todays news is saying that a 24 hour race for V8 supercars has been signed sealed and delivered to start in 2004. The race will start at 4pm on the staturday afternoon.
The reaction from the teams will be interesting. 3 or 4 drivers per team. There will be a que a mile long at team "symbol" to get one of the 20 odd drives they will have available. |

A couple of years ago a local radio station said that the V8's were going to have a race in Ballarat around Lake Wendouree. Part of the story was that they would have to put a road through the botanical gardens and cut down a couple of 100+ year old trees to do it. Didn't that stir up a reaction from those who didn't check the date!

Does anyone remember the cover of Auto Action with a McLaren on the front, and a driver in a plain white helmet in the car?
Was in the Adelaide GP era, and our own Tricky Dicky Johnson was announced for a 3rd McLaren at the Australian Grand Prix later in the year..... Sounded plausible at the time... |
