Where will Edwards go?

It has just become apparent that Edwards chance of a Yamaha M1 ride in MotoGP ride are gone after the Texan has a long conversation with Wayne Rainey and it upper management at Yamaha decided that Edwards was not part of the equation.

Left now in MotoGP are Aprilia (Michelin) and Honda (Bridgestone).

With Aprilia he'll be on a full factory ride, and will be on Michelin tyres. But the bike has still to be fully developed, and Edwards could spend next year trundling around in the midfield, something he does not want to do.

If he goes with the Honda RC211V, he's likely to be on a privateer machine (such as Pons) and will also likely be on Bridgestone rubber, something he's never used and something that has proven to be unsuccessful as yet. However, the Honda IS a superb machine, and it would maintain Edward's personal links with the Japanese giant, despite the animosity that has arisen in the past months.

Not mentioned has been Edwards deal with Ducati in the WSB, which now appears to be either on hold, or was cancelled with Edwards wanting to make the jump to MotoGP no matter what he is riding.

He'll be on a privateer Honda, after the WSB win this year.

Edwards will stick with Michelin tyres, which, if Yamaha is out of the picture, only seems to leave Aprilia.......

Yep agreed, Aprilia is my guess and forget the WSBK Ducati ride that relationship was dissolved after Imola, he only ever signed a letter of intent anyway, he has to ride GP now as Ducati made it clear that if he didn't ride for them in 2003 then he would not be able to take any other ride in WSBK.

Honda have crapped on Colin from a great height and he should tell them to shove their RCV.
