Andy,

Nothing definate at the moment, but I would guess that they would have a general circuit test day run by the circuit staff during the day, with perhaps a two hour night practice similar to the way the 2cv's did for the 24hr, running from say 20.00 to 22.00hrs, but that is purely my opinion.

I am sure that James will provide more info as soon as possible once everything is sorted with MSA, circuit, BRSCC and entrants.

I will post any info that I receive.

The normal routine we use for the winter night races is there will be a test day run by the circuit on Friday. We should only need marshal for saterday which will be run as a normal one day meeting with quli and race on sat. This will also normally include night quli for the race run at dusk then into the night race after a short break.Remember that it will be dark by 4.30-5.00 so the event should be over by 8.Hope that helps.

Andy,

By now I thought you would be hardened to anything Snet can throw at you,
Horizontal Rain anytime, Snow in April, Hurricane force winds through the Sear In Post and that's on a good day!! How's that famous Snet saying go - If you can see the trees in the distance - it's going to rain, if you can't, it is raining!

However before I put potential Snet visitors off we also benefit from the other extreme, those super hot days that we seem to have had a lot more of in recent years. Perhaps the one benefit of Global warming!

It is going to be a great weekend. There is a night race, with Sat Pm qual.

Although the meeting is being run under the BHRC banner marshal's should still contact Peter Rodwell via marshals@brscc-ea.co.uk regarding their availability to marshal for the 5th and 6th Nov.

I know it's only a provisional timetable, BUT and this is a big BUT only ONE 40 Minute break during a COLD WINTER'S DAY, and what's the betting that this will be shortened as well? Where else would allow you to do an 11hr day in cold conditions with only 1 break, and Sunday looks a bit of a push as well !?!?!?!?

Steve,

Please note that there is at present an TBA "Guest" qualifying and "Guest" race during the day with sessions of 20mins each which may or may not actually take place (in a similar manner to the Porsche 924 sessions in last weekends BRSCC meeting). As stated this is only provisional and I believe that this is the current draft timetable given to James Tucker by Motorsport Vision's BHRC. Also note BRSCC-EA have no involvment in planning this timetable or meeting, they will only be supporting the event with personnel.

Hopefully more details will become available in due course. If I get anymore info I will certainly post it here.

PS. Is it your turn to have those dreaded magnets back this coming weekend?!! Andy's getting nervous having me either on his crew or with me being on the adjacent post with my normal crew!!

I'm not impressed by the programme, Saturday afternoon is over 7 hours without a break and then another long day on the Sunday. I'm seriously thinking about giving this one a miss or only doing one day. Perhaps MSV think that by putting something on after the race on Saturday it will make up for it, the last thing I want to do is hang around when I have been on post for the best part of 11 hours.
Also if a team have a problem in qualifying, it doesn't give them much anytime to sort it out. Someone wasn't thinking when this programme was put together and for a change no one can blame the BRSCC!

Surely whoever is in charge of each post should implement a shift rotar which would give each person half hour off every 3 or 4 hours or something (depending on numbers on each post)-I'm sure Mr.Tucker would be ok on that situation. One Britcar meeting at Snet' earlier on in the year saw just one person flaging (don't think he actually knew how to use it mind!) on the entry to Richies so post numbers shouldn't be a problem it seems.
