Cut Joest Audi some slack, they're completely new to this.

Why was Schneider in older CLK? Or is it just a typing error?

Well done by Ekstrom though looks as if the race could be quite good tomorrow.

Still a pity it's so long!

Stunning lap from Ekstrom. Slowest in the first sector then absolutely amazing to see him claw back all that lost time!! Going to be a good race - can't wait!!

Albers wins the race ahead of Ekström. Tomczyk third and Kristensen fourth.

(please excuse me for eventual errors, I'm currently at the STCC race at Knutstorp)

Great race but I thought Ekstrom should have won. But fair play to Mar...Christijan Albers, he defended brilliantly. What's going on with Schneider?!

I was there for the race, Albers had more top speed, Ekstrom was better in the curves. Normally Ekstrom got really close during the Parabólica Interior (Inner Parabolic), and kept in there all the way to the start of the Parabólica Ayrton Senna, in the chicane he even had to slow down more than he needed to, or else he would hit Albers. He was quickest but, due to the long straights where Albers got advantage, he was half a meter behind what he should have been to pass.

Oh, and in the start of the Parabolica Ayrton Senna, Albers braked a little, not really needed, but made Ekstrom also brake and Albers then used the greater aceleration power of his Mercedes to pull away and gain that slight advantage that kept him in first place.

jet, about Schneider, when I saw him behind Kristessen, I thought it wouldn't take long before he passed him, I consider Kristenssen a great driver, but he's more used to the R8 than to the A4. To my surprise he started pulling away, so maybe I was wrong or did Schneider have some problem?

A good race, all in all, I was right in front of the place where Frentzen made his error. I hope DTM comes here again!

Great race - FANTASTIC pass by Albers - even though Paffett was ailing, still, to nail two cars in the same corner is incredible. And then to hold off Ekstrom for the rest of the race as he did - truly great work.

Shame Scheider slipped back for Opel - all the rest kept breaking down from 8th place until finally Aiello got it (and Frentzen was removed from the track by Alesi).

Pirro was running well considering the penalty for Audi, though obviously the Red Bull Abt cars were the cream for Audi today. Unlucky for Ekstrom, though he's bound to win before the seasons out.

Mercedes - well, they've got some nice, fast, dangerous driving young men working for them. Great stuff Paffett & Albers - it's like the kids are teaching their dads how to drive.

It's probably my overly vivid imagination, but those wings sprouting from the back of the Audi A4s just give me the creeps. They remind me of the fungi and mushrooms growing out of decaying trees. I think that's a bit outrageous???
