Ok. Can't remember whether it was Manor or not but thought she was in talks with someone.

What was the confusion, Monkey Head? James Jakes has always planned to do the F3 Euroseries with Manor this season.

If Manor had come back to British F3 this year it would have been with Cong Fu Cheng, or Frankie Cheng as he's known over here, and that would have been in addition to the F3 Euroseries..

i do not folllow you... i do not really understand your meaning

if you mean there is no point to do british F3 and euroseries in the same time???
i think it is always interesting for a team to compete against other team and check his own level there are ome good teams in British F3 (Carlin,Hitech,...) and good teams in F3 Euro (ASM,Manor,...)

if you can also answer the question why teams like ASM run more than 2 cars (they do not need more than that to win the championship...) you will also find one solution : the MONEY

the point also is this 2 championships run on diferent tracks

I thought I had said this yesterday, but apparently not.

There are two reasons why Manor are not doing British F3 as well. The first is that the driver they planned to run, Congfu Cheng (or Frankie Cheng), lost his sponsorship, and the second is that Mercedes said they couldn't supply them with engines for both. My guess is that the engines they were going to have went to Carlin instead.

Why did Mclaren drop Cheng after he finally had a half decent year?

I'm not sure it was McLaren. The story I heard was he was going to be sponsored the A1GP Team China, for whom he was driving at the time. There must have been a falling out, because Ho-Pin Tung is driving for them now and doing very well.

That's a particularly frustrating question, because I swear I tripped over the calendar somewhere yesterday, but now I can't find it.

The closest I can get is this leaked version of the DTM calendar;

22 April Hockenheim Germany
6 May Oschersleben Germany
20 May Eurospeedway Lausitz Germany
10 June Brands Hatch Britain*
24 June Norisring Germany
15 July Mugello Italy
29 July Zandvoort Netherlands
2 September Nurburgring Germany
23 September Barcelona Spain
14 October Magny Cours France
28 October Hockenheim Germany

It looks pretty much the same as I saw, except maybe for Barcelona.
