I think the word 'Barge' suits them well, but of course they were used by Ford for rally support, and looked quite cool on Minilites....... |

My thoughts exactly.Suspension should be very easy to upgrade these days-not many alternatives back in the day.

Yep, V4 was a gutless slug-v6 obviously a lot better and only one to consider.

Ford V4- hideous in anything! Gilbern started fitting it into the GT instead of MGB engine in latter half of 60s, as they were already using the V6 in their new Genie. Guess what? Most were changed back to MGB........

BTW when I went onto that sale site Terence mentioned to look for the Zephyr I found a 4 door Cortina GT for sale boasting a 'throbnozzle' unleaded head. One of yours, I presume! |

I jest of course, but why can't people check it (or get it checked) before it goes to final print.
I suppose being married to somebody that actually can't stand bad spelling and grammar and sends most paperwork back to people like the council pointing out various mistakes it rubs off on me ! |

That 4 door GT looks ok. Although Mrs Zef wants a 107E or a preaerflow 4 door Cortina.
All I've got in stock is 2 door Cortina's, Lambrettas and Tornado's in bits! I have been told! |

I was walking through a supermarket this morning and spotted 'Rush' on the DVD shelf at less than a tenner. As I was about to pick it up spotted the box set of 'Despicable Me' (1 & 2) for a bit more. Now need to get some Minions to sit on the roll cab........
Sorry Iain! |

Helmet standards
Changing the subject...
I get copied in to the MSA scrutineers' bulletin, and the latest edition has a reminder about helmets that may be pertinent here. While helmets to BS6658 Type A/FR (the red kite mark label) are acceptable in the UK they are no longer allowed in events run under FIA regulations. The bulletin points out that this may include away rounds of domestic series, so if you're planning on popping sur le continent best check you have a Snell 2000, 2005 or 2010 lid. Oh, not forgetting the FIA 8860-2004 and 2010 helmets as well. FYI Snell 2000 runs out at the end of this year (2014), Snell 2005 end of 2018 and there is no expiry on Snell 2010 as yet. HTH M |
