V6. should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Performance Car Of The Year

Sorry i couldnt use a poll as there are 12 options

In the latest edition of evo (Rich Gits who get to drive expensive cars all year long) they did an end of year special in which they took the best 12 cars of the year and rated them on how much of "Drivers cars" they were. As people who probably never get to driver them how would we rate them on face value and knowledge alone.

A friend has just bought a Mercedes SL55 AMG, he says it's "very naughty" and uses words like "brutal" when talking about driving it!

The lotus wont be will it.
The ferrari here has a special handeling pack which they say should be standard after they critisised the original with a frosty reception from ferrari, they said the other one should be the "American and OAP" pack.

The Corvette is not on there? I'm amazed! The car has great performance and for the price it is a steal. Not to mention the performance of the Z06 Corvette would blow most of those cars on the list away, and not just in a strait line, they handle like you wouldn't believe. My father just got a new Corvette, and I'm telling you, the thing is a absolute dream! It's one of the best sports cars out there!!!!!!!!!

The list is official for cars that are new that year. So the 'vette wouldn't count, although the 350Z and NSX are grey market cars from Japan and it's stretching the rules to count the Elise, Porsche and Jag as genuinely new cars.

"The Corvette is not on there?" That's because it's a Corvette and ALL Corvettes are rubbish. (IMO!! )

"Elise, Porsche and Jag" Yes, but I guess they're new varients. You could say the Focus and the NSX are "old cars", but that wouldn't REALLY be true.

I read evo and I trust it implicitly. I read the article deliberately not looking at the result untill the end. I thought the AMG would have won it, the NSX-R being a possible. Very suprised (and pleased) that the 575 did so well. Also suprised the Alfa 145 GTA wasn't included.

(btw: things like the new Caterham, the Radical, the Noble etc. weren't included as they took part in the EvoTCOTY earlier in the year)
