Looks like Buemi wasn't fit to bring the car to the finish.

Whatever, wouldn't have mattered in the end anyways.

Toyota done--Seb it seems has a huge leg cramp and they had to put Steph in.

They blew it through no fault of their own--fatigue and physical limitations finally caught up with them. Strange that they didn't try and take tires.

As long as Allan does OK this last stint, he'll be fine.

Blew what? Theyre 30 secs behind after 5.5 hours. Thats damn close being a second per lap slower!

If they would have changed tyres, they would have lost another 25+ seconds.

By not taking tyres, they still have a very small chance in case of a late safety car.

Still, Toyota's race pace in combination with their fuel advantage is looking good.

They should be able to put on a good show at Fuji, with two cars as well

Rob Smedly working for AF Corsa now: "Kamui is much faster than you"

Of course, that was soon followed by the guy on the AF Corsa radio said that the #51 pair is leading the drivers championship.

If Buemi could have stayed in the car, they would be a lot closer.

Now McNish can pace himself. He can lose around 2 sec per lap.

I wondered if something like this would happen when Davidson was in the car. That would have been the time to do a tire change and lose track position, to allow Toyota a better chance in the final stint.

Toyota ran a good race and came pretty close.

Just because Audi had problems at the begining of the race. Toyota had no problem at all and still....

Audi vs Toyota on equal tires and near equal fuel and a 30 second lead. Too much for Steph to make up, and the lead is slowly creeping up for Audi.

#2 only had minor contact with an Aston Martin while McNish dueled Buemi early and damage to the decal on the right side pod for the car number.

Audi will win manufacturers' title now, and Allan, Tom and Loic get closer to winning the drivers' title.

Pretty decent race up front, certainly kept me entertained throughout. The first hour was immense!

Certainly says something that the P1's are the closest fought class (bar GTEAm) over 5 and a half hrs of green racing....

Audi might need to pit to get a new race number??? I sincerely hope not ... but Toyota had the problem at Bahrain last year.

Wow.

Oh, and the #2 didn't lose any time for nudging the Aston, or do any meaningful damage, so that is all bunk. The #1 had a hugely incident-filled race, #2 has had a trouble-free, normal race. And will win by 30 seconds after six hours.

For all the people who spent six hours watching the race and are not happy with what you got .... your choices, your problems. I am really happy ... too bad Toyota couldn't have won, but that's racing.

Wow.
Might in theory not be an issue, because the number on the race control tower side is still in tact, but in Bahrain Toyotas wasn't as far as I am aware.

Caviat was that Bahrain was a night race and the illumination didn't work.

We have to remember that the #2 Audi had a similar issue at LM this year over bodywork damage.

Radio LM messed up--Audi can't quite yet claim manufacturers' title, but it'll be hard for Toyota to catch up now.
