Why opening this thread so early? The race is yet to begin.

Only 9 laps, a tad too early to vote.

Lewis. On par with Vettel despite a car that was a full second slower in qualifying.

Button for me. Average qually, bad start but made up for it with a good strategy to get a podium. Well done.

Button. Good recovery from 10th, made a less desirable strategy work.

Somehow I enjoyed Heidfeld's drive - maybe it's an 'underdog' thing. Anyhow, I've voted for him......

Button a good finish after a poor start. He showed again how good he is with the tyres.

I went for Vettel. I don't think he had the fastest car in the race and he soaked up tremendous pressure from Hamilton whilst still looking cool, calm and collected.
Otherwise Lewis. To be honest I don't think Heidfeld did anything more than should be expected given the tyres he had available. |

Vettel all the way, made the most of a quick first tyre change and defended well despite being at a disadvantage without a fully functioning KERS.
Kudos to Button as well for a great recovery. |

Vettel again. He had some difficulties this weekend and also got beaten to pole, but used his brain a lot in the race. Beating his team mate at the start of the race and then using a superior pitstop strategy he got the jump on Alonso. Then soaked up the pressure from Hamilton at the end. The 'new Mansell' got his 13th win this weekend and it looks likely he will get plenty more.
My second driver of the day is Hamilton. Drove an impressive race and tried his hardest to get by Vettel at the end. Impressive drive from Button as well to third. A shame he made it hard on himself by making a bad start. I will also give Alonso a mention as well, as at the start of the race he seemed to have n impressive pace. Sadly it wasn't there for the rest of the race. Epic fail of the day - Webber! Despite getting pole he got thrashed by his team mate and was also off the podium! |

Vettel, his car may have been faster in quali, but no way was it in race trim. Great defending from a faster Hamilton at the end of the race, dispite not having KERS. And great out lap after his first stop, what were Red Bull thinking?

Good strategy by Red Bull got Vettel in the lead, Hamilton drove well to get second but my man of the day was Button. Great race, showed that a 3 stop strategy can get you on the podium.
Great drive from Jenson. |

Hamilton for me. Thought over the weekend it was clear that he was outgunned by Red Bull but in race trim he was inspired

I think we were treated to two really great drivers on their best form today. I would put Hamilton and Vettel right up there and I'm an old fogey. I thoroughly enjoyed it. On the limit for 66 laps with neither making a mistake. Top stuff.

Vettel. He did a bit of overtaking. A bit of defending. And a good bit of hard fast driving in order to get himself into and then staying in the lead, in a car that probably, in race trim, wasn't as fast as a McLaren.
Hamilton had a good race, but nothing special. Button was also good, but start was rubbish! Alonso gets my vote for 'putting his car where it shouldn't have been'. Webber was also close to getting that vote. Special mentions for Heidfeld, Di Resta and Perez. |

Alonso this time for mine. Based on the late race pace took a car that didn't deserve to be there to the lead of the race with an audacious move and kept it in the lead and then near the front for a fair chunk of the race. Fought all the way till the car / tyres lost pace and faded.
