Fingers crossed, never had such problems with my unit.
I expect I will next be out June 12 and 13 with the barc.
Unfortunatley Gordons no1 engine was on a dizzy and if you look at that long straight at hockenmeim you are full chat for a long time the telemantry shows him at 9100 at the end of the straight the head gasket blew and he did not stop.
my no2 engine done a lot of work once again lots of high revs for long time
Gems new mig engine did not miss a beat

Rob, you need to sort a photographer out for one of these trips. I'm not cheap but I'm good

You International, Jet setting Mini Racers! It will be Monaco next !! We're very envious - next year perhaps.

On a more mundane level, does anybody know whether the Mallory Park hairpin requires first, or second, gear with a 3.9FD?

I'm pretty sure a 1:1 is fitted but will check when I get home as the alternative primary gear (1.04?) is boxed on the shelf. I suppose the 1.04 would be preferable giving something like a 4:1 FD and consequently a lower first gear ratio. Seems a fair bit of work to do for one race though.

I have just done the costings to take a car from home to hockhenheim and back , working out track time on a minuite for minute basis, its cheaper than racing in the uk also we have been on gp circuits. Whats more the class structure is like for like. If there is a down side you are away from home longer but for us we are with freinds and make it a mini holiday monaco would be good

Monaco would be fantastic but would probably blow our whole seasons budget once you'd paid for accommodation, a night at the casino and mooring for our yachts...

1.04 can get you going out of the corners.

Don't worry Dad, I'll just use the handbrake and dump the clutch every lap, ok?

Brakes sorted after cv joint problems at Lydden last year Rob - no more using purple minis to stop me....

Would love to do Spa some time but focusing on DMN this year.

Big Dave, how's the arm, can you wield a welding torch yet, got some work for you...
