Goat Boy has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

I disagree, the numbers were dropping before this happened.

Ambushed is a harsh word to use - for a group of entrants to feel it necessary to break away generally means they are getting nowhere in trying to talk to the existing people in running the event and long term frustration often leads to actions like that.

Those people in my opinion are as much to blame as any. I always liked the NZV8's, back in the day but change came far too slowly and they were looking out of date even back in 2008/9.

I will be interested to count the numbers next season, indeed.

'Ambush' - lol, that's ridiculous. How many of the supertourer guys have been 'forced' to go to V8ST??

Why don't you speak to some of the guys who left to go to V8ST's as I have?
They had plenty of valid reasons.

And yes there was some great stuff at Teretonga, but really only three of them in it. Well worth watching for that, good on them.

Mate if the ST's are going to be so good why are you so worried about what the rest of the BNT drivers are doing, there wont be any room for them anyway,i believe all the cars have been sold, or am i missing something

Foggy and Edgell are great drivers and I would like to think they would want to be part of where the best action is, wherever that may be...

He has just announced his second driver, Steve Richards joining the series, again with a well known brand popping up again in circuit racing, good to see CRC get involved.

Promax, i'm sure if M3 weren't happy with progress they wouldn't be posting pictures like that, seem like they are happy with it

I think most Teams are at the build stage because I believe parts are in short supply to finish complete cars.

haha, someone "in the know"?

Does it matter which car/team? Your interest in this thread has been so overwhelming you must be pumped to see any Supertourer roaring in anger? :P

Course ya can, get it signed

Take it Taupo today if you want Richo's autograph:

(FPR Facebook Page)

Ford Performance Racing (FPR)
Richo has just signed on to race with his fellow FPR co-driver John McIntyre in the NZ V8SuperTourers Championship. He will campaign the #556 Ford Falcon for John McIntyre Racing. He is testing at Taupo in NZ today

interesting

McIntyre is taking a NASCAR-style approach with the #556 car this season. “The car’s livery will change during the year with a different naming rights sponsor for each round.”

if i knew yesterday Richards would be testing too.. i'd be there now

Frosty for sure as they are good mates, and JM is now a FPR man.
It's kind of like being told your getting a Ferrari for Christmas, only to handed a box with "Matchbox" printed on the side.

Still, Richards is a good solid addition to the series... and a great name to have on the side of your "number 2" car.
