Richard Duvall should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
BGP 2104

I see that the £5 a day cash handout is being replaced by a £10 a day useless food voucher!

It's their way of making sure they get their money back as we can only spend it at the GP!
Or am I being cynical?

There's a new marshal queue system at normal meetings and a £5 brekky if they're doing that for gp that could help

Whilst trying to remain positive in our 100% pay increase, I am struggling to find something vaguely healthy here:

Well, I'm pretty sure you could subsidise post 1's morning tea & coffee round with yours

At £2.40 for a cup of tea that won't make many of the Team happy....

You all volunteered didn't you ? If you don't like the pay just tell them you're not going. It's not that difficult .

Wrong thread Steve, I'm talking about what we are going to eat, not how much we're getting paid

Sorry I must have been confused by the frequent references to monetary values. I'll try to pay more attention in future .

If I am correct then the MSA gets paid for your services and that money goes into the training/marshalling fund. So that is why you only get something towards food during the day.

If you don't like it then don't volunteer for the event. Or volunteer but don't complain.

I'll say it again. I'm talking about what to eat not how much we're getting paid.

Apologies - time moves on from when we last did it!

But I do recall being at Becketts in the rain with a catering van behind us that did the most wonderful Egg (and onion) rolls which made "breakfast" a joy. Got funny looks, though!

I don't think we ever got those egg stains out of the overalls!

Pork pies are usually good. It'd be great to see (on the telly for me) an F1 race where something actually happens.

Indeed, pork pies lovely but healthy

Looking for something that does not use bread as a carrier. According to the link I posted it's smoothie or strawberries.

Shame the voucher is not valid in the paddock diner as the do lovely breakfast pots (fruit and yoghurt) and salads for lunch.

You can say it as much as you like but it's not just your thread and the original post was about the switch from a cash payment to a food voucher

And the fact there was nothing the OP could/would eat using said voucher

What happened to the good old packed lunch taken with you in the morning?

Food therefore sorted and the voucher then used to fill it out with "rubbish" - crisps, chocolate, biscuits etc, or fresh fruit if you're that way inclined. (Apologies to all Veggies out there, I'm just an old fashioned gal who survives on the former!)
