Back to the racing after a bit of a break, Omar Ismail took his first win making it six different winners so far this year by my calculations. Looks quick. http://www.formula4.com/news/maiden-...netterton.aspx

This is Ismail's second round and CDR aren't Lanan or HHC. He got pole and won, is 16yo, so watch out for this kid!

Yeah very impressive from the youngster. Great to see his team-mate Tom Jackson take his first F4 win today too! From 16th on the grid no less too. Will Palmer won in race three and continues to lead the championship.

Late reply, but how do F3 Cup hold the F3 title therefore?

Will Palmer took his fifth win of the season today and it was good to see Ciaran Haggerty get on to the podium again, alongside Tom Jackson. http://www.formula4.com/news/palmer-...nds-hatch.aspx

I know he's a sophomore and in what's now the best team, but sometimes Palmer is just phenomenally fast. Some of his pole times are over half a second faster than anyone else. Silverstone - 1 second - was just remarkable.

He also has the benefit of good backing, so I expect to see him in European F3 next season, maybe GP3, but he's probably going to be champion and with that comes a step up.

Ha ha the step only comes as long as the finance is in place to facilitate it! In Wills case that should not be a problem but as we regretably know many other talented drivers win championships at this level but their careers sadly falter because they don't come from wealthy and or well connected back grounds. Sorry for stating the obvious (again)

Well of course, but that's not going to be an issue for Palmer for a couple of seasons. Looking at Jolyon's career, if Will can get the results, he should be good for a nice run up the ladder

And he's got ability.

Will Palmer wins again as he takes victory at Snetterton and that is seven for the year now. With an 89-point lead he is going to be very hard to catch now.

Another good day's racing at Snetterton with Jackson and Palmer taking the wins. Looks like Palmer might wrap the championship up at the next round, held at Donington.

Don't know why but Lanan have lost their edge, as has Fonseca, who seems to be unable to qualify atm.

But Palmer is ready for the step up. Class of the field by a long way.

On a different note, with BRDC F4 effectively becoming a step up the ladder with the new car, how many drivers do we think will continue into next year?

Given the new car's apparent significant increase in pace, should we expect to see Will Palmer continue in the series, for example, regardless of whether or not he wins the title? Or would his recent exploits at Silverstone in the FR2.0 show that perhaps he's heading off to Europe? Should he stay, would it be the first time the champion of a junior series this low down the ladder, has remained in the series the following year? I can't think of any recent such examples.

Personally I think quite a few will stick around (budget depending) and the grid should be very healthy next year, perhaps with a lot of the current F4 crop as well as the frontrunners from MSA Formula, and perhaps even a couple of FR2.0 drivers too, if the 2016 BRDC F4 car is indeed quicker than those.

I can see a few returning, although if Ismail returns it would take a lot to stop him provided his team gets their heads around the car.

On that note, the Autumn series will be worth watching to see which teams have got it sorted...

Back in this year's championship, Harri Newey, son of Adrian, took his first win in cars. He managed to hold off Palmer too, so could be another one to watch in 2016.

Ninth and tenth wins of the year for Will Palmer at Donington Park today and he is the 2015 Champion. Very impressive and dominant from him, will be interesting to see how the scrap for second works out between Newey, Jackson, Haggerty and Fonseca.

Final meeting of the 2015 season and Will Palmer took another victory, his 11th this year, as Harri Newey closed on securing second spot in the championship ahead of Tom Jackson.

So the 2015 season comes to a close with Palmer taking a remarkable 12th win of the year. Harri Newey claimed his second victory too and took second in the championship ahead of Tom Jackson! Good stuff.

Will Palmer... ...watching him next year. 12 wins is just mad!

Good to see Newey sorted himself in the closing stages, and a shame Fonseca couldn't be consistently up there.

But that's goodbye to the Firman chassis and hello Tatuus! End of an era for the series, hopefully the start of another good one.

Looking more and more like British F3... But budgets, am I the only one who thinks big teams and an international round could hurt? Obviously those are positives for the series but you could argue the consequences may be negative.

14 drivers already confirmed on the grid for 2016,, with Fortec still having two seats open, Lanan two, HHC one. Some good names in there too with Herta, Norris, Leist graduating from MSA Formula.

Colton Herta has called off his BRDC F4 plans and will race in Euroformula Open (F3) for Carlin instead.
