Most motorsport shops have a range of videos, you are in Sydney so I would check out the bookstore at the end of Church st opposite where DJS used to be near the river (cant think of the name ) they have a great range of Motorsport books, DVDS, and videos. Also at every race meeting of Supercars there is always someone selling DVDS etc of the best crashes and previous years highlights etc.

I meant mpeg's and avi's... sorry for the confusion...

I'm currently in the process of transfering all my video tape of Aussie Tourers from 1979 onwards to dvd. It's a slow process cause I'm adding custom menus and music to some of the titles. I'm also in the process of creating a web page to hold the database information. Do you think someone needs to give me a life?

This is an awesome video of Greg Murphy's qualifying lap around Bathurst a couple of years back. This really was an AWESOME lap. No other way to explain it. The quality isnt very goo though im afraid.

Seeing as I can't use my video player anymore (long story, see other thread), I have a bunch of videos left that I was hoping to transfer to DVD but can't.
If anyone can transfer them to DVD and make a copy for me, I will send them to you for free with a pack of DVD's. Pigsy?

If nobody can do this, I am happy to send them to anyone who wants to fix up the postage. I have:

1. Juan Manuel Fangio (1 hour)
2. Racing Through Time (Farina & Ascari, The Americans, McLaren and Hulme) 3 hours
3. Niki Lauda (1 hour)
4. Discovery Channel Secrets of F1 (Full Series on 2 VVideos + another show) about 6 hours
5. Fastest Man on 2 Wheels (1 hour)
6. Racing Through Time (Brabham, Jones, Mercedes) abt 3 hours
7. Thunder Road (NASCAR) about 1 hour
8. Racing Through Time (Unknown from the marathon on Fox) about 4 hours
9. Sandown 500 Supercars 2004

The rest I have given to Dad...

So, first in best dressed

I have boxes and boxes of VHS tapes of Motorsport back to 1980 (when I bought my first video, piano key JVC - weighed a ton, only sent it to the dump last month) - are there any copyright issues with supplying these tapes/DVD's over the net?

Definatly, even if the original broadcaster has destroyed all the originals they still own the copyright and will do for at least the next 50 years.
We got hold of some old F5000 footage for a doco a few years back that ABC said they no longer had. We asked them for permission to use it and they asked for over $4000.

I have the full race pigsy, so PM me if you would like to organise a trade or something

2001 was a fantastic race wasn't it? I have all Bathursts from 1996 onwards in full and have watched this one more often than any of the others. I am part way through 96 at the moment actually, arghhh the days of Wilkinson and co in the booth, and special pit reports with Andy Raymond
