Track Radio Frequencies
Hello Peeps,
Browsing through the forum (I really should get a life ), I notice the question often arises about scanner frequencies for circuits. Fortunately, in one of the answers Gerryc pointed people to an excellent website www.marshalspost.com which, under the "circuits" link you can read a pretty good write up on most of the circuits. It also details the known frequencies for circuits. To aid everyone, I have consolidated all the frequencies into the list you can see below: England Aintree 165.1625 Blyton Rally Cross 169.3375 Brands Hatch 169.3375 Cadwell Park 169.3375 Castle Combe 169.3375 Croft 165.2125 Curborough Sprint Course organising clubs use their own or hire shenstone & district car club's radios, so varies Donington Park 166.7625 Donington Park 169.0125 Donington Park 169.3375 Goodwood Not Known Gurston Down Not Known Salisbury Not Known Loton Park Hillclimb Not Known Lydden Hill 169.3375 Mallory Park 169.3375 Oulton Park 169.3375 Prescott Hillclimb Not Known Rockingham 169.3375 With Tone Lock Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb 169.2250 Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb 167.2000 Silverstone 167.9750 main e.s. Silverstone 169.8375 Pits Silverstone 169.2125 Paddock Silverstone 169.0625 e.s.2 Silverstone plus various other for yellow/ blue flags etc. Snetterton 169.3375 Three Sisters Not Known Thruxton 169.3375 Republic of Ireland Mondello Park 163.9850 ?? Northern Ireland Kirkistown Not Known Scotland Knockhill 169.3375 Knockhill 169.3000 Wales Anglesey 169.3375 Pembrey 169.3375 Enjoy, and remember, always ask your observer before using a scanner, and never directly act on, or pass on, the information you gather from it! Now, has anyone got a spare life, because I seem to have lost mine!! Terry "Tigger" Glover Last edited by tbg63; 27 Aug 2007 at 20:11. |

Good to meet you this weekend and had a look at your website and all I can say is that if ever I need a tower of strength, I'll call you. Hurry up and get the mobile home then we can erm, populate the bar for a tad longer "Tigger" |

Anyway, I have no control over the volume - race control are the only ones when they switch the power off unexpectedly!!!!!!! |

169.3375 is the MSA allocated frequency for Rescue and is therefore in use at every circuit event. As such it should not be in use for general Circuit or Race Control to Post traffic, purely Rescue related activities.

I used a scanner for the first time at Brands this weekend....it makes such a difference knowing what is going on - even if it is just moaning about prima-donna racing drivers!

Holy thread revival, Batman!
This seams a great list of scanner frequencies. However I've heard from next year circuit communications (ie radios) are going Digital. This means the list and all scanners that we currently use will not work. I don't know how quickly it will be implemented, or which circuits will change first, but it will happen. |

For circuits that provide all the radio equipment (Silverstone, Donington, Rockingham) it will be up to them and fairly simple (but not cheap) For the other who expect the Club to come along with radios it's more of a problem as the frequencies and equipment won't be compatible. Most clubs rely on their equipment (on 169.3375) being covered by the circuit's licence for that frequency and a change may upset that. |

you lost me with the sub audible tone but unless there are any changes this year Cadwell use the MSA frequency 169.3375 on the good old fashioned analog system
