He can easily get second, but not first unless 9 has problems.

No matter the result, I haven't been this impressed by a single driver's drive in endurance racing for a long, long time.

Flags hanging from cars, donuts: I love the non-conformity and club sportsman aspect at the core of the race.

If this was an FIA or ACO race we would be talking about reprimands and penalties for this from the No-Fun Road Safety PC brigade.

Exactly if you want to see staged celebrations like Vettel's fake pre-determined script after his wins and reprimands or warnings for showing emotions and picking up flags or celebrating there's always the FIA or ACO run series for you.

The #25 only had a lead of around 30 seconds after Martin's opening stint so I don't think they were ever in a comfortable lead. The conditions probably didn't help them in warming the tyres which is a Z4 complaint and at that same point the Merc's really came on strong.

Was just a big and more consistent drive from Schneider/Edwards. Don't forget they lost around 2mins when Bernd acquaplaned off at the first corner early this morning.

Classic race enjoyed it despite the red flag. So glad it's a Holiday here.


It can be argued if Maxime Martin the 27 year old Belgian BMW Factory driver was born on March 20th 1986 or BORN on May 20th 2013.


Great victory by the Black Falcon boys though and especially Bernd Schneider and Sean Edwards.
