The drivers are Dominik Farnbacher, Allan Simonsen, Lehman Keen and Marco Seefried. If they're having pace problems there's either something wrong with the car or Farnbacher or Simonsen are not driving.

Thanks DkX was hoping someone at the ring might let us know who was driving. Unless anyone has live timing with actual drivers on view.

#98 Officially retired. #1 returned to the pits on a flatbed. Supposedly radiator damage from the accident which from the sounds of RLM probably terminal.

according to this link: http://vln.wige-livetiming.de/index.php , Farnbacher is now driving. Doesn't help with who did the last stint as they just pitted and changed drivers.

The #1 still at 47 laps covered. Anyone knows whether the car is in it's box?

No. 1 is still in the pits getting repaired from their earlier accident. They are now down to 53rd place and dropping.

The live timing for driver info is crap. Those names never changed so we can't trust that. It's a big guess who's in the car.
But it seems Farnbacher started so you'd think he ain't going slow and Simonsen is no slowpoke so it must be the others as you say.

One of the "others" is Leh Keen, one of the quickest drivers in north America.

You're probably right. I just looked at that web-site so I assumed it was right. I remember at Sebring, Tucker drove all 12 hours according to the live timing.

I didn't know much about lehman but was told he won GT with Werner in Grand Am last year so maybe the culprit is Seefried but also the Nurburgring is a tricky track for newcomers and even some pros.
You never know. Maybe even Allan hasn't got the hang of it.

Well, I don't know what was expected of these guys, but they are running first in their class right now and are more than a lap ahead of the second place car in their class, so they're doing pretty well considering Keen probably doesn't know the track and Seefried might be a Gentleman driver.

perhaps in a GTC Porsche but not helping Farnbacher if he's slow in the Ferrari !! Wonder why some of the usual Ferrari drivers weren't there in place of a Porsche guy from Grand-Am?

The Astons are starting to make their way onto the top 30 leader board; one in 22nd and one in 30th.

Because Ferrari are helping Farnbacher far less than you say Leh is.

Too bad, they were consistently the fastest car on the track.

And now the #9 is at the front and running away from the 2 audis behind. Will the hybrid be reliable enough for the 24 hours?

Heck, if the hybrid fails, and considering the poor reliability of the Audis, even the Ferrari can win it. Now that would be a surprise!

Does anybody know what happened to BMW #57 in class SP7? It only did one lap.

The GT3-R Hybrid managed to do 10 laps I heard somewhere. Is this true? 'Cause in that case the Audi's should do a couple of extra stops compared to the Hybrid.

Yes, the Porsche hybrid can do 10 laps per stint. But the #99 Audi is, I think, doing 9 laps per stint.

Porsche must be praying tonight, if the #9 can win this it gives them a massive feather in the cap being the first hybrid race car ever to win a 24 hour race. However it lost 4 minutes to the leading Audi that lap, anyone know why?

Be great if next year, a Mercedes Benz SLS GT3 is run under HWA. That way, all 4 great German marques would be represented well at this race.
