John Watson should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Cadwell Park Thankyou

What a way to start the 2004 Car Racing season at Cadwell.

Blue sky and sunshine all day, full grids, excellent racing, and club senior officials with smiles on their faces all day, (well almost all day!), in spite of several minor hiccups which nobody outside of Race Control even noticed.

All due to an excellent Race day put on by the HSCC, which I am sure that all who were there will agree.

But most importantly the day was made possible by the efficiency and expertise of all the Marshal's, who in spite of the many red flags, worked hard as a team clearing the track so quickly so that the delays were kept to a minimum.
You all did a brilliant job, and that includes the Rescue Units and Recovery Crews as well.

My grateful thanks go to you all, for your support and enthusiasm. The fact that we finished the meeting at 18.03, without any cut backs is a credit to everyone.

Finally, thanks HSCC for a brilliant day.

John watson - Chief Marshall

John is being very modest because without him, John Franks and all the regulars at Cadwell, we wouldn't be able to run a meeting at all! Every meeting at Cadwell is a pleasure for me because of all the great people there and I'm very pleased and grateful that you all go on supporting the HSCC. Thanks again

Anyone witnessing the flying marshal on the startline after push starting a single-seater should dismiss it out of their memory immediately - It didn't happen, it was a figment of your imagination, no-one ran down from the rescue unit, push stated the car and went rear end over apex at all, remember !?!

{Goes away now, bruised and embarressed}

On a serious note, great way to start the Cadwell season, plenty of fun & games and everyone enjoyed the weather I'm sure.

It was my first time marshalling at Cadwell. Nice circuit. Long trip but worth it. See you all again when I am down to do the VSCC meeting. GW
