Not to go too far in speculation, but the rumors are strong of two teams joining lmp1 next year. We know that much so far. I can only think of Nissan being the strongest candidate. Supposedly, we were to hear an announcement from them at Silverstone. Lets see if that comes to fruition!

Predictable, boring race in store for us now. The white car fielded by the German-based team will win overall, Nissan power will win in P2, and the European coupe will win GTE. Why is there even a need to watch?

Blimey that is looking on the bleak side, i am looking forward seeing the cars on Friday nd 3 days of exciting racing with overtaking refueling, driver changes breakdowns the odd accident, rather that the procession of cars that some racing series have become. This is what we love about spoertscar racing and why we watch it

Where did you dream that up from? Or is this entirely tongue in cheek?

GTE will be won by a car with a roof. What's the point of even attending? Waste of my time

It frustrates me, given how genuinely good British casual food can be, that in this day and age they still come out with overpriced and very bad trailer park catering. |

Spot on Ian. James and I brought our food in from there each day last year. In fact, I had breakfast there when I arrived last year..... I have little doubt that Divine Burger (named for delicious irony, one assumes) will be very much in evidence - so if you don't take your own food in, make sure you pack plenty of your favourite antacid medication - plus cash of course, not only does the food taste dreadful, it costs an arm and a leg too......

Strakka will miss the first two rounds of the WEC. Not sure if this has been announced here already somewhere. Very unfortunate.

Can't they just grab a few locals and their stands from La Sarthe region? By Sunday, I think I'd kill for a Sandwich Americain Merguez and Kronenberg on a wonky wooden bench.

the cost itself isn't too bad compared to others (for example, €4 for a can of pop from a vendor at monza last weekend, not even a bottle), but what you get for that is absolutely rubbish. |

I did the Great North Swim a couple of years back and they had loads of food vendors, one of them was a former Masterchef finalist and the food was fantastic, the queues for her food kinda showed that people will happily queue a little if the quality was far superior (the price was good too). It was also pretty funny watching her barking orders at her chefs...
I'll be there on Sunday with my packed lunch, flask of tea and dressed for snow no matter what the weather forecast says |
